Herstory

Athens, Greece

#1 Apr 3, 2013
So I went on a trip to Greece last month and trekked some of Mt. Olympus. While I was walking up near the base I ran into these very peculiar clay fragments on the ground near a part of the mountain that was visibly eroded. I'm including links to two different angles. My imagination tells me I may have found a piece of Ancient Greek ceramic.. but I can't be sure. For those of you who have been to Mt. Olympus you know that the mountain is made almost entirely of this very brittle light grey rock, which is one of the factors that leads me to believe this is part of something man made. Note the slight curvature, the parallel engravings, and smooth channel under what appears to be a rim. Any experts in the house? Opinions anyone?
