I was wondering if there has been any moves for federal recognition. Because the last time I knew Mr. Tommy Bolton was the only one trying to get it federally recognized.

The history of our tribe needs to be preserved. Federal recognition only helps with this process. Chief Bolton is on the right path.

I'm interested in docementing the family lineage: Antonio Gil Y'Barbo & Maria Padillo,
Mariano Y'Barbo & Maria Teresa Mora,
Manuel de los Santos & Maria Calderon
Jose Maria Y'Barbo & Mary ?
"Jose" Joseph C. Ebarbo & Julie Balckman
Ludi Ebarb/Aldi Webb then Nancy Lewing.

I need to know where to find the documentation to prove this linkage to one another.
Do you have this documentation?
Can I receive it online?
Is there a fee?
Please let me know.
Thanks,
Carol Gerwick

I live near the Mexican American border and my mother had people from Ebarb, LA. Why are you people ashamed of your Mexican heritage?
NO ONE is ashamed of their Mexican heritage..it just so happens there are both that reside there...Spanish and Mexican...BIG difference....Study your history before making such broad comments. MEXICANS are native Indians as well as the Spaniards (being themselves Europeans) that mixed with native women upon explorations of American being unable to bring few if any women on the voyage with them. And why do you say "YOU PEOPLE" when if your mother comes from Ebarb you are as well one of those people you refer to as "you people" . The Mexican people are a proud and wonderful people and I know of none that are ashamed of their wonderful heritage except for the few ignorant and prejudiced ones that wish them to be ashamed for their own prejudiced reasons of feeling superior. We are all one with one creator...none being superior but the one creator.

Well I am a activist for our Native American people Choctaw Apache Tribe in Ebarb, LA my uncle was the Chef we are Choctaw Apache, French, Spanish. Today Date is 7-2-2015.
My Name is Brandon Latimer Many, LA my family is the Procell Family the Chef watched me stand up in Federal Court in Lafayette, LA and talk frank to a Federal Judge there that did not like me or my family or people because we are Native American's & the oil field companies and there lawyers and Dr's & LSU in Shreveport was putting our people down & do to rascal slurs & remarks & even sending letters to my house with rascal slurs & remarks stating the (Federal Judges in Lafayette, LA in the 5th circuit don't think people like me should be able to sue there employer, And they tend to favor the defendant). Even the Sabine Parish Court System was putting there nose in it because of all the unethical conduct by falsifying disability paper work from the Disability Office & got caught & trying to cover up falsified trumped up charges I discovered was on my recorded that was sir pose to been cleared up years ago I discovered this the company I got hurt with when they hired me told me about it and me and my family reported a number of people in the Sabine Parish Court System to clear it up in 2009 to 2015, I was force to report this year in 2015 to the Department of Justice in Washington D.C they told me to talk to an attorney for legal action and my rights & to contact the law enforcements state & local & gave me a letter with all kinds of contacts for disability rights groups in LA & out LA to report this unethical conduct, These parties do not like our people or our kind in LA because who we are they need to be locked up and charged and fired from there job as a public servant if it being for the parish or state or for federal courts, Me and my family was told by the Department of Justice in Washington D.C to contact to FBI and we have do so a number of times, But what it all comes down to all the parties is covering up that an co-employee who was white hurt me intentionally because I was a Native American and that's a hate crime and any party covering it up needs to be charge as well.
I state this any party who puts any comments about Native American people needs to be reported to the Department of Justice and FBI and other law enforcements and civil rights groups in this state and out the state of LA, This is not the slavery days were we was soled like cattle in Natchitoches, LA we were sold off to slave traders.

RE: "blackgold"

Are you so ignorant that you think that it is illegal to form an opinion or to speak freely? I can hardly follow your ill-bred ramblings, but you quoted you were an activist for your tribe. I suppose that means you are another unemployed parasite that is probably vying for disability and have most likely have been on welfare for generations as many of the people in your area are. And to go on and say with your bad grammar and misspellings that comments need to be reported to the DOJ, FBI, etcetera, are more proof you are an idiot. I canít believe I am wasting my time reading this garbage from such a dimwit.
