A Senate panel approved a modest, bipartisan rewrite of federal farm and nutrition programs on Wednesday, sidestepping a fight for now but setting up a clash with House Republicans intent on beefing up work requirements for food stamps. If you have to do something, anything,to get one, what's the point of a SNAP credit card. It will just raise the price of selling it.

Even if all we can find for them to do is wash reflectors along the road they should work if they can. But, leave them enough time to look for real jobs.
Give a living minimum wage so that we aren't paying walmart's employees for them and people have a reason to work.

Never understood how they managed to put food stamps in to a farm bill.

As far as work requirements, how about this.....

Work or go hungry. Sit back and watch how fast the leeches suddenly find jobs.
