Here is a novel Idea. Pay a decent wage and you will have college and high school kids that will work. Another option is people on work release. People on welfare is another. It's not hard to find employees when you pay a decent wage.

Now we need a new wave of illegals to replace the ones that have found work making more money than picking crops. Where does it all end? Machines are the answer. Machines don't demand rights, need food stamps, use taxpayer sponsored health care, or give birth to anchor babies. God knows machines have already replaced a lot of jobs that Americans used to do.

You need to add something to the title of that article..... WNY Farmers Having Difficulty Finding Workers.... that will accept the substandrad wage and no benefits that illegals will.

It's basic economics. If you can't find workers then your offer better pay. Sure the price of strawberries will go up a nickel or dime... but I'll gladly pay it knowing it supports an AMERICAN family.
