OH Hogwash... it's not
Florida, it's the people from Spain, England and other countries that brought the Slaves to Florida. Florida was just the beautiful "new land" that they brought the slaves to. This is history and should stay there. |

I agree, No Apology from me! Why should any of us apologize for something we had nothing to do with. Put it to bed already. I am sure there are issues today that warrant more attention then an Apology for Slavery. I want an apology for affirmative action!! yeah I'm not going to hold my breath either....Can we have a United Honkey College fund Too!

This is a waste of time and money. Why should people apologize for something that happened 200 years ago? Don't those people have better things to do with their time? Why are we paying them money for wasting our time?

I agree, send them back!!!

What this does is get these guys' names in the papers as "do gooders". Everyone knows that an apology will accomplish nothing. People will complain if we don't apologize then they'll complain that it's not enough.

Nobody on this board thinks this apology crap has any merit so lets go people, lets contact these time-wasters and tell them to move on to important issues or get out of office!!!
Contact: Tony Hill @ hill.anthony.web@ flsenate.gov Ken Pruitt @ pruitt.ken.web@ flsenate.gov This site doesn't allow address and phone number posts. If I can't post the contact information, can't 10 news?????? |

I think that our so called state law makers should
apologize to the tax payers of Florida for wasting our time and money to persue such a moronic topic. This line of thinking is not why you were elected. How many slaves voted for you? Support the will of the people who did. |

|
I'm starting to belive that anybody who is requesting, expecting or wanting an apology should get it along with a one way ticket back to Their choice of Kenya, Uganda or Tanzania. How about it folks, still want an apology???

I am sorry that slavery existed, but I was not there.
Bring me someone that was and I will apppologize on my knees. Other than that, let it be. |

Thanks for the web-sites, FED UP Kate. These two need a one way ticket to the unemployment line!!!

Why appologize to those dirty rotten slaves. Its about time someone appologizes to my people. Yes we do get to run casino's and yes we may have drinking problems but nobody has ever apologized to us for the way we were mistreated when people arrived here from Europe. We were here first, if were going to start apologizing somewhere start at the begining not with slaves.

Show me the Africans that immergrated to America and obtained their citizenship. Do you really mean American blacks of Aferican desent? And wher in America is slavery condoned or praticed. If everone had the mind set of being Americans first, and not worring about past, this country and its citizens would be better for it. |

If you look at the Florida Family Court rulings and Florida Statutes 61.08 you will see that slavery (Alimony)is still being promoted by our legislature and the judges that refuse to hear cases that request a ruling on any question of a violation to the Florida Constitution.
Alimony law is designed to create an economic victim in a marriage when that marriage fails. Then, binds the alleged perpetrator to the state and the alleged victim for life. Thereby robbing them of their right to pursue life, liberty, and happiness – instead of protecting that right. This scheme gives lawyers and judges perpetual authority to forever strip the the alleged perpetrator of their liberty and property rights until the day they die and in many cases afterward as well. The scheme is so powerful and lucrative for the legal and judicial community that they have created an industry from it and protect it at all costs. They have openly denied individuals their constitutional rights and in many cases ignore any case law that goes against their motive of financially stripping and enslaving an individual. |

Come out to the MacDill and say that, and see what reaction you get. P.S. I bet teh eight grade was the 3 best years of your life, as you got to relive them year after year. |
