Tokey... you are talking about developement.
I ask you this...
A chinese student called Ah-Wing who scored 4 A's in his A levels has applied to enter university of Malaysia.
He didn't get in. His friend Mohammed got in with 3 B's.
So Ah-Wing has been forced to study in England.
Not only has Ah-Wing scored higher grades, he is alot more competent at Accounting and commerce than Mohammed.
Ah-Wing is now working at Royal Bank of Scotland in London and has recently gained British citizenship.
Whilst Mohammed.. is still struggling to complete is Degree with mediocre scores...
- This is the story of Malaysia.. Struggling is because of a problem.. The Malaysian government has obviously not THOUGHT it through properly.
That is a question of frustrated person. Just because he could not get in into a local university he blamed it on other peoples. In the process he exagerrate his story.

I think you dont know about the education system in Malaysia. If you just get 4 A's definitely you cannot get into a local university. We are talking about straight 9A's are common nowadays.

This is racial preferential treatment.
Regardless of how many A's he got, Mohammed got less yet still made it into univeristy. Is this fair? From a Malay perspective... yes. Malays are the sons of the soil so yes they should have more rights than Chinese Malaysians.

Why reason is there for Chinese boy to stay in Malaysia and help it "develop"?- None.

(You're very naive to think that this is an uncommon scenario... just ask all the Malaysian students studying here in Australia, US and England... its the same story.

BUMI OWNZ U regarding to your wise comparision between Ah Wing -4As and Mohammed'-3Bs and how Ah Wing's good fortunes in another country, I agree with you 100%

If I am not mistaken, I read and article also more or less regarding the issue about Ganesan, S'pore who left M'sia for S'pore because of NEP or NDP TO FURTHER HIS EDUCATION IN S'PORE. He is now working in S'pore and is thankful because of the weaknesses of the implementation of it that helped him in his success stories today. He also commented that because of NEP or NDP, our barisan national lost a few million votes because of those victims'opposition votes swing!

As I said people tend to add spices to their stories. Just because they couldn't get a place in local university, they blame the government. Nowadays even Chinese with straight A's are given scholarship. If you don't believe you can call MCA (hope you know what MCA is).

If I am not mistaken, somewhere in this TOPIX there is one gentleman by name of Ganesan from S'pore who says that as a victim of NPE or NDP he is grateful that he left M'sia for S'pore to further his University and is grateful that being a victim because of an uneven economic plan, he is now having a successful job in S'pore. According to him , now that those victims of NEP now voted for the opposition to vent their anger. He admitted that he himself also voted opposition. The rest is history and we can take a leaf of history to know how the NEP or NDP boomberang the Barisan National.

Is this amazing?

Why don't we just give scholarships to those who achieve rather than look at Race?

Why can't all those who better Malaysia be regarded as Malaysian...

Why are there different rules for Malays and different laws for Chinese.

Are we all not Malaysians? Are we all not working to help Malaysia develop? Are we ALL evil and selfish and bullies to the Malay people?

There are times where I wish Malaysia looked at itself and realised that the government is going abouts things the WRONG WAY....

It should be promoting success by increasing standards.. NOT LOWERING Standards for its own RACE.

How can excellence be achieved if you lower the standards...

I'll give you an example. Proton's CEO (Big Boss) has accused the government of allowing too many imported cars into Malaysia, thats why it is losing money.

This doesnt sound like a LEADER. It sounds like a man who doesnt know what he is doing and blaming the government for is failures.

If Proton created cars that PEOPLE WANTED.. maybe it would be profitable and people would actually buy Protons..

The fact that people are chosing to buy other cars other than Proton should CLEARLY be... enough reason to try to push for innovation to compete with international cars...

This is small mind thinking.. the malaysian market is so small.. This CEO is limiting his market to the Malaysian market.. what about the world?- Another idiot running and idiot company... we call these companies (Non profit organisations because they are precisely that.. non profit... non viable.. worthless.)

Good for you to given up citizenship. At least you don't fell frustrated all the time. Good luck to you.

Don't bluff me about equal right in Australia or everywhere. I also studied overseas. There is no such thing as equal right ... even if you go to live in China you will not get equal treatment.

:-) The LAW in Malaysia is to give Malays preferential treatment.. Good.

Who won that film award in New York? Was it a Malay? No.. it was a Chinese Malaysian.

Who is the best squash player? Is she Malay?
No she Michelle isnt Malay.

Who owns the most profitable airline in Malaysia despite not been given ANY special privileges. Is he Malay? No Tony is Indian.

Malays are useless... even with LAWS that PROTECT them.. they can't even compete locally... let alone with the rest of the world..

Malays.. you have a long way to go to reach a level of sophistication to even begin to compete against china.

Have you ever been to china.. noticed how flat their foot paths are?

You goto KL and look at your pathetic foot path.. even that can not do...

Try sell your Proton in China..VolksWagen and AUDI made in China is the second largest populated country going to bother buying Proton? NO.. that car is for Malaysians only.. its ok.. you can keep driving it :)

Malays that are singaporean "Malays" look down on Malays in Malaysia... you know why mate?

Because Malays in Malaysia are seen to be unsophisticated incompetent people ie: useless.

Even the government thinks Malaysian Malays are useless, hence the laws to give them an extra boost.. because they need it.

Malays keep crying about how unfair it is that Chinese have more, yet they never THINK about why it is that alot of chinese people are wealthy.

Its because the wealthy ones:
1. Get off their ass and work
2. They study hard.
3. They use their brains
4. They have innovative attitudes and are not limited by religion.
5. They respect all peoples.

tada!!! The secret to success.. get off your ass and work.. stop whinging and thinking life is unfair.. after all.. bumiputras GET RACIAL PREFERENCIAL TREATMENT YET... can keep whinging and complaining.... get off you ass!
