$10 million marijuana crop found growing on South Side
The lush crop of pale green plants growing in neat rows on the far South Side was, by one estimate, just days from being ready to harvest.
The plants some as tall as 10 feet high sprouted up in the middle of unused industrial land along the 10600 block of South Stony Island, thick with brush and tall grass. Its surrounded by tall grass, and basically its a huge field you wouldnt see anywhere but from the air, Chicago Police Supt. Garry McCarthy told reporters Wednesday. Police estimated the growing area to be about the size of two football fields.

Good old American ingenuity at work.
Can't find a job? Then create one for yourself!!
Grow a cash crop!
But, they probably should have chosen CORN or SOYBEANS instead of POT.

Of course their finding it will do zero in the ill thought war against drugs. The Mexicans get to sell 10 million dollars worth of marijuana to make up for it. Just when will people learn. Money which could stay in the US will now go to Mexico.
