Sucks if you're trying to bring a lady home for some love and she sees the sign and bolts.

You sure know a lot about bedbugs. Thanks for grossing me out! Now I am scared to leave my house.

And all the people who can afford to get rid of them why are they still in your nieghborhoods get off your lazy **** and get rid of them Bedbugs are not at all picky about who they infest. Many middle and upper income people end up with them at home, often picking them up in hotels. Even some of the most expensive hotels are infested. They are apparently coming from European tourists. Maybe you could read up on a subject before you make a comment. And learn how to punctuate.

Pesticide and cancer wrote: So what happens when one person misuses the product and some kid gets cancer from smelling it all night long, week after week. Is it worth the risk? Steam clean the carpets, throw out old bedding and clean your linenes. It's a bug. It can be killed. Putting more chemicals into the home shouldn't even be an issue. Aren't we all exposed to enough already? No! Won't steam make the bed and carpets wet??? I'm not down with giving bugs something to drink along with a steam room. Hey you could turn the the heat up to 120 and give them a sauna too. It doesn't take chemicals to get cancer. Have you been checked? You can't live in a bubble! Peaches

The parasitic bedbugs and parasitic illegal aliens are related. Both are here illegally and if you drive out one, the other will likely follow.

What a dumb ass! If we shipped all the true foreigners out of this country the only ones left would be the native Americans! Its a natural thing for bugs like tics, fleas, bed bugs and many others to thrive in cycles. One year they could be bad and for another 5 not so bad. I live in Brunswick Ohio for instance our family dog and cat have fleas this year and the past 2 years we didn't have to worry about it but this fall for some natural reason not foreigners! They have been bad so I used chemicals inside and out to take care of the problem along with the pets. I didn't put the down this time. LOL

Laziness! Most motels and hotels don't change the sheets anymore after the last guest. They want to charge you $80 a night to stay in a dump.

I have to admitt I used to manage several large hotels here in Columbus in the late 90's. The process in to change the linens ( sheets-pillow cases then remake the bed...without washing the blankets or bedspreads. Very dirty and unsanitary. Needless to say I left as a very frustrated manager who's hands were tied by the Corporate enities. Spend less to clean and sell those rooms out for a full house. No matter what.

Paul Sites wrote: Ok here we go again .......... the EPA tells us what we can use to combat bugs and fungi of all types. Even when the perscribed pesticide doesn't work they ( EPA ) doesn't make adjustments. After raising friut in Souteastern Ohio for 35 years , I gave up . You cant fight a charging Bull with a fly-swater , and that is what we are try to do against new and mutated strains of insects and dieases . Here we have Bed Bugs , and also an pesticide that will work but our hands are tied. One other EPA shortfall.... due to the change in laws , we must not drain or disturb " wet - lands " , what we used to call " swamps ". More accuractly " a breeding ground for WEST NILE VIRUS ., in fact if you must drain a swamp , another of equal size must be created in the area . Anyone thought of draining the swamp and planting trees to eat up the CO2 that is accused of distroying the Ozone ? Muratic acid would be effective. just dont get it in your underwear!

I moved into a new apartment and after one week, the bed bug fiasco began. That was 5 weeks ago, and we're still going through fumigations. The stress and anxiety this has brought on me and my boyfriend has been unbelievable. We had to throw out all of our bedroom furniture and our 1-year old mattress. I really hope Propoxur is approved for use, because we've done EVERYTHING on our part to get rid of them. And just so you know, simply washing all of your clothes, linens, etc. and steam cleaning your carpets isn't going to work if they're living in the walls. They live anywhere and everywhere they can. We even steam cleaned the carpets the night before moving our furniture into the place, and we know for a fact we didn't bring them there with us. And all of these comments about immigrants bringing them here and that only poor people deal with this is utter crap.

In these times, when TV and lawyers have created so much FEAR ( Because it sells and gets higher TV ratings) I doubt anything will be brought back. Remember we are trying to create a risk free world. Just look around you, Children with PTSD because they don"t have the newest phone etc.. Soon they will close the beaches because waves can toss you around and kill you or pull you out to sea and never be found. Have you ever wondered what you are breathing in when you walk behind a school bus? YOU SHOULD! Because it's one of the most dangerous things you could do. Look it up! Maybe we should be looking at junk science more often vs myths. Nah.... Sure, pesticieds kill insects, mixed to kill by body weight, So does gasoline, salt, toothpaste, I hope your rinsed ah, forget it.

Anyone resistant to the temporary return of a pesticide that will kill these vile pests, has obviously never had to deal with them. I applaud Mr. Beal and the Ohio Department of Agriculture for trying to do what is in the public interest. Special interest groups in Washington may mean well, but they should not be allowed to set rigid policies on issues that could be contrary to the health of a community.

Unfortunitly, it has become necessary to increase efforts in the battle against the spread Bed Bugs. I feel that a number of choices like Baygon (Propoxur) would level the playing field for infested Ohio.

keep in mind that alought Dr. Potter shows a 100% kill rate in a lab setting with proxpoxur doesn't mean this will be the result in the field. Tempo Dust also has 100% kill in the lab but if your PCO (sucks) so does your results. Please read the label for Baygon.....not good.
