Gas station violations for 2007

They forgot to add the biggest violator....that one big pump in Saudi Arabia (our great friends!!!).

I knew the gas station on clyde park was overcharging, I called on them once. I stopped going there

Glad I never go to the AMOCO Station at 1639 Leonard! I think in the 7 years I have lived out here I got gas there once!!! Rather use the independents like Westside Service. Nice people there and they take care of their customers.

I like the Westside Service station. I hit that one on the way home from my parents house.

You know what is really funny? The one on E. Savidge in Spring Lake (shell) was also the one that they did a story on last summer because a whole bunch of people that go there regularly were having engine failure in their cars. Turns out they were running pure ethanol or something, and narrowed it down to that station. They wouldnt even foot the repair bills when they were found to be the ones at fault. Glad I avoid that station!!

What is going on with this city? Shouldn't there be inspections a little more often then there is? With the economy the way it is and gas being expensive, it doesn't come as a shock that gas stations are doing this.

I wonder how I can make a service station pay for new gas filters and installation when they dispense dirt and water instead of gasoline?

Regardless....

All the above should be fined enough to pay for the state to hire a new pump inspector for a year for each violation!

Neko, How about we sue the US Govt. for obtaining land without Constitutional purpose and denying the American People the right to drill for oil and other energy. They have seized half of the West and denied Citizens the right to exploit the natural resources. There is nothing in the Constitution about Govt. owning so much land other than bases. It's time to use the US Supreme Court for the People!

C'mon people -- this isn't rocket science. I knew immediately that the substandard rating in Grandville was from the Admiral station on Chicago Drive, but quickly looked it up to confirm the accuracy of my suspicion. Took all of 30 seconds. Go to Speedway instead.

Why not put a 1/2% tax on oil/refinery profits to pay for a better inspection/enforcement division, then fine the repeat gas station offenders and use that money to help repair roads.

Do NOT go to Speedway they are the first to raise prices and they water their gas down
