Great, so the $$ customers overpaid or paid for substandard gas is be recouped by the government. I know I have regularly gotten gas at two of these stations - one from each part of the list - I'm a bit ticked off. I'm glad that the stations are getting in trouble for ripping me off, but I think a warning letter is too little and the fine is going to the wrong place. If it were any other item, we could demand a refund. The entire industry is corrupt.

It sure would be nice if those results were published so we would know what stations to avoid.

It sickens me that the local gas station that I support by paying $200 per week to fill up four vehicles is on the list. My loyalty for buying local just went out the window!

Print the names of the stations! Let everyone know where the crooks are.

As a past victim of "reporting" - this seems to be the first time that concern has been expressed by the media to make sure that information is accurate!

The inspections were last year and we're just hearing about it now, rather than when it was discovered. That gave those stations plenty time to correct it. I would've wanted to know when the inspections discovered it, not 6 months or more later. WZZM had to use the FOIA to get the results even now. How many more are resulting in the same failures that are taking place right now that we're not hearing about?

Go to whitepages.com do a reverse address lookup and the names will pop up. I found one confusing though. One of the Alpine Ave ones said it was the Farmers Co-op. I know it's a feed place, but I don't believe they sell gas. I drive by often and never noticed pumps. I could be wrong though, wouldn't be the first time.

That's why they sell gas for a couple of pennies less than the rest. You don't get what you pay for.

I don't think is was WZZM that left the names off, I think thats the way it was reported. A quick search of the white pages will give you the names of the stores. It shouldn't be too hard for you to track this information down.

**I meant, I don't think it was WZZM who left the names off, I think when the report was released to them, it probably didn't have the names of the stores.

With the internet not to hard to find what gas stations these are. I went to map quest, typed in the address it gave me a map, then at the top of that page in category I typed gas and put in the same address. A list of gas stations pulled up on the left hand side of the screen and I found the one in Grandville to be the Admiral Station next door to Wendy's. Gee now wonder their prices are cheaper, the have bad pumps. I hope they start closing these places down with the violations.

I love when the word,'dumb', comes up in a comment that half the words aren't even spelled right!

Thank you. You made my day!

Thanks WZZM. I know at least two people who buy gas on Alpine all the time. Doesn't matter if it's cheaper per gallon there if they don't count the gallons right!
