Interesting "story" Richard.

Ommission is 9/10 of a lie.

What you left out is more interesting than what you put in.

Carlsen belongs in the private sector. Fire him or put him to work sweeping the floors of Civic Center, that's all he's good for.
How about the golf courses?

Earlier this year, a National Institutes of Health study fund that a different pesticide, trichlorfon, commonly used on golf courses, was associated with an 85% increase in risk of diabetes for even infrequent users, and a 250% increase in risk for workers who had applied it more than 10 times. The same pesticide has been used to kill cockroaches, crickets, bedbugs, fleas, flies and ticks, but its main current use is on turf, such as at golf courses.

It was the most extreme connection researchers found between pesticide applicators and diabetes, but not the only one. Use of any of the pesticides studied for more than 100 days in a lifetime increased diabetes risk 17%."

The article mentions "Hymel" without fully explaining who he is. I know who he is, but it would be nice if other readers did, too.

(Do I get paid for editing the I-J? No, but I should....)

I was wondering who Hymel was. Still am.
Poorly written article. A 6th grader could do better.

This issue is purposefully poorly written and made full of discrepencies on purpose, this actually has to do with nature, and real health issues, not money, not corporate thugs sellings drugs and stealing land, Why would anybody around here care if they cannot rape pillage and steal?

Maybe that's why only 5 people commented on an issue that in so real, it comes through your tap water in your kitchen, you bath in in your shower, you breath in on your commute up or down the 101 every morning. If we do not organize and wake up, we will be killed, wait wait, poised and slaughtered....

Why do we need to use any pesticides in Marin?
So what if there are a few bugs around?
Better a few bugs then poison chemicals. What about all of the cancer clusters in Marin, how will pesticide use help this? Regardless of the rules that are put in, there will always be knuckleheads who spritz the wrong toxic stuff all over the place and voila, we're all hosed.

Matthew Hymel is the County Administrator, appointed by the County Board.

I tend to agree that a poorly written article tends to distract people from the underlying issues. Of course, the I-J does not want to upset any apple carts here....
