I used to vote solid republican! Then I educated myself on the issues, and worked 30 years as a geologist, saw the world around me (YOU need to "get out" a little more!!!) and found some common sense... Now I vote Republican only rarely...

I don't think that it is a waste of money, because that will be the future of the world. China made it snow by seeding clouds, there is a lot of competition for satellites, and sophisticated surveillance will play an important role in our security.

According to prophesy,Mars would be humans' next destination. It is more similar to Earth. It could be the reason why our experts are paying too much attention,time,and effort in it. We would not know what's next but our descendants would.

The possibilites are unending. If God didn't meant for us to get out of this planet,He would never ever allow us to invent the first plane to get to the sky. Things are happening because there's a reason for everything.

Trying to change something from nothing is not trying to play God. It is trying to answer our curiousity of what's out there.

If cloning is possible then finding another Earth is not impossible.

Satellites more certainly ARE part of our Space Program... they wouldn't exist without it...

The amount of money spent on actual space exploration is probably a tiny fraction of what is spent on beer, and would be paid for by a few B-2 Bombers...

Let ditch half our military expenses, conduct space exploration with a fraction of those savings, and have a TON of money to fund some important things and pay off debt.
