It is no secret. We have major issues with our food system: pesticides we eat, pollution from fertilizers, genetically-modified food, trans-fats, you name it.

The comparison with the holocaust wasn't a great idea from PETA. Nonetheless, we should loose the focus on the real aim of true animal rights activists. What we want is to protect animals. In switzerland there is currently a new trend that young people like again furs from slaughtered animals. That should definitively been forbidden in a civilized world.
At pharmaceutical companies large amounts of mice are slaughtered every day for nothing.
All the research that is done by pharmaceutical companies with animals could easily be conducted in alternative ways. The slaughter of animals in industry should be more severely published. It is understandable that serious provocative actions need to be taken sometimes to raise concerns of the topic
No your right..... Peta's founder is full of bright ideas....

Cinders is a good remark. Some time ago, a fire was set on the house of the Novartis boss. Extreme, but definitively made people aware of what is going on in pharmaceutical industry in terms of animal care.
