Cult? There goes that word again. Much more can be said if one would only listen. You only see what you wanna see though. No matter. The existence of God can neither be proven or disproven using the scientific method so formulate your own opinions as you wish. However, don't condemn me for having my own. For in doing so, you haven't a pot to piss in.
what is wrong with that word, it is a perfect description of religious groups.

In fact in another 100 years religion will hopefully be a faint memory.
Or undergo a dramatic metamorphosis. The catholic church will certainly have to as they are losing mega money and we all know how they hate that.:O)

You keep on about "The existence of God can neither be proven or disproven using the scientific method", with that, why is it so important for those who believe in the existence of an unproven god accompanied by books written by men to force their myths on a society?
Do you know what the first mass produced printed book was? If you knew this, you would know why that book has value. You don't have to be a bible literalist to know it.

see how silly your un-argument is?
No more silly than yours. You cannot use the scientific method to disprove the existence of God. End of story.

Yet you don't question their historical relevance. Question their teachings all you want. This still doesn't disprove the existence of God.
Some animals have better senses than humans. And some humans have better senses than others. I guess, that's what they are lacking.

Didn't I just leave you behind in the abortion forum? Stalking me now are you? I haven't personally imposed my "myths"upon anyone. Why is it so important for atheists to force their views upon the unsuspecting public? By all means, feel free to formulate your own opinions about the world around you. As is your right. Condemning others for having opinions contrary to your own doesn't make you any more right. Especially when you cannot use the scientific method to disprove the existence of God.

Yes, it is far more silly. my argument shows all the evidence that points to the religious cults being myths. they are full of proven lies, their gods are just re-hashed from previous myths. their gods have human traits showing they were created by humans...

need more? your only argument is that you cannot disprove a myth.

Well the 2 organisms died, so we'll make believe that more sprung up from the ashes of the first 2, and so on, and so on, and so on, so we can continue the story.

Finally 2 organisms sprung up from where there used to be one and turning(really?) toward each other, they fell in love at first sight. Such love as the world had never seen before. They came together and held each other in a squiggly thing embrace until, until, until...they expired.

They didn't have sexual organs to continue, so we're back to square 1 again. Tune in tomorrow and find out how a badboy organism developed testosterone and got himself in trouble when he grew a set and then forced himself on some helpless organism making her his b*tch.

Until then, hakuna matata, we'll make this thing work even if it's impossible!

Lol Nothing is wrong with that word, my friend. It is a lovely word. And your description of it is spot on. I'm just not sure how it applies to me. While I have narrowly avoided being enslaved by my fair share of cults in my lifetime, I am currently not a member of any. While I do believe in God, I despise labels. I try to avoid attaching myself to any at all costs. I am my own person. While I do believe in the Bible, I'm aware of its romanization. So I try to get as close to its original translation as possible in my studies. While I hold a faith in God quite dear to me, I am not oblivious to various other secular works. I don't pretend to know everything, however. I am learning more and more every day. Like each of you, I am constantly growing.
