another good way to save water and electric is too only run the dishwasher when its full, and run it at night, mine is very quite and we wait till bed time. I think it's less draining on the electric at night.
I've heard that advice too. I think the rationale is that in some places the electric rate is less at night. That's not the case where I live, but I often run it at night just so I don't hear it.

Anyone raised in the country where we still have to haul our water has been conserving water all their lives. Turn on to wet toothbrush, off to brush, on to rinse. 1 inch of water in tub, water crops with creek water, wash rain regularly with rain water, and water animals. Short shower or 1 inch water in tub, and on and on.

Dr. Richard S. Lindzen, Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Atmospheric Sciences at MIT, says,

Future generations will wonder in bemused amazement that the early twenty-first century’s developed world went into hysterical panic over a globally average temperature increase of a few tenths of a degree ...

Bob Carter is Professor at the Marine Geophysical Laboratory at James Cook University in Australia. Speaking of Al Gore’s global warming alarmism, Dr. Carter says that

Gore’s circumstantial arguments are so weak that they are pathetic. It is simply incredible that they, and his film, are commanding public attention.

Speaking of computer models being an unreliable means for predicting climate change, Princeton physicist Freeman Dyson says that these computer models are essential tools for understanding climate. They are not yet adequate tools for predicting climate.

Dr. Fred Singer is distinguished research professor at George Mason University and author or editor of several books addressing climate change. Addressing the climate changes of the past and how they never led to catastrophes, Singer says

The Medieval and Roman warmings, with their intervening cold periods, present a huge problem for the advocates of man-made global warming.

The human population of the earth compared to the size of the earth isn’t hardly even noticeable! Did you know that every person on the planet could actually stand within the city limits of Jacksonville, Florida?(Minus all the buildings, of course)
Global warming is nothing more than a natural occurrence that comes and goes with time. It has never been catastrophic, and it will not be catastrophic until God gives the order, not man (II Peter 3:10). Sure, man does make some contribution to temperature rises, but the contribution is so small that it’s hardly worth mentioning, and it definitely isn’t causing global warming. So relax! God is on the throne, and He has some awesome plans for planet earth, and He has some awesome plans for YOU, if you are truly saved.

Anymouse,
If you believe those 6 truths are necessary, then how could you think Unity Carol is a christian.

She's not even close, based on her posts.

I do extend grace. It is Jesus who said there is no grace and no mercy for those who reject him.

Was Jesus showing grace when he made the statement, "no man gets to god except through me".

Was that a statement of grace?

Saving energy by going green

Notes that you can make your own topic, if you want to discuss something like, oh, I don't know, the validity of Global Warming or how you're more Christian than everyone else.

Poor poor Butch...
Yes I will die.

But then so will you.

And then you'll wish you had paid more attention to my posts.

"the fool has said in his heart there is no God" (or acts and lives like there is no God)

A good read on global warming:
http://www.biblebaptistpublications.org/globa...
I have sinned so much today. I worried about whether people will be able to keep their head above water as prices climb as income stagnates. I worried about this war in Iraq, I worried about the gasoline prices. I worried about whether it will stop rainingso I can get my grass cut before it is too high.

And I read the article & discovered that worrying is a sin. A Sin? I did not know that are supposed to be carefree everyday & don't care about anything - just skip along thru the fields of daisies.

It is a sin to worry abut global warming.

The entire article told me exactly what I wanted toi know when it called Al Gore an idiot.

Since when is it Christianto call people names?

And who the hell does this guy think he his, Gore received a Nobel Prize for his work. A work to honor God's creation and not this author's intent on trashing God's gift to man.

I just don't get it. How can you people claim to love God when you dishonor his gift to mankind. To me- it sounds like your inconventient truth that you might need to scrifice something.

To worry is a sin because it removes our faith from Christ and puts it in the government, my job, the bank, the doctor, the dentist, the oncologist, the obgyn, etc.

To not worry doesn't mean a person doesn't care anything. It's placing the faith and trust to take care of such situtation right where it belongs: on God.

I don't expect you to understand since you aren't a christian.

The old song says, "My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness.

I will admit one of my biggest sins is fear and worry. God is working on me to get me to the place where I "seek first the kingdom of God and all these other things will be added".

And, "trust in the Lord with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding but in all my ways acknowledge him and he will direct my paths."

Another way is recycle, keeping plastic out of the land fills is a great way to start.

If someone is able to make money by going green, good on them. I don't think profit is a four letter word.

I agree with Dave, and Dave I know how the people who claim to love God while dishonoring His Gifts are able to do that. They are pretend christians.

So if a person continues in homosexuality, like you continue in worry, yet keeps repenting and asking God to take the sin from them (and trusts that he will) are they still condemned to hell?

Someone once said, " A little bit of worry is like a little bit of atheism."
