John Batease cried in court not because he was remosrsful, but because he knows that he will now finally pay for all of his crimes! and he is scared, and he should be! This is not the first child he has harmed! He will now have the next 22 years to think about what he did to this little boy, and what he has done to the others he has harmed as well. The sad thing in this case is that if the justice system had done its job 9 years ago, and followed through on previous reported abuse, this poor little boys life may have been spared. John Batease dererves to serve every single day of this sentence, and in my opinion much much more!

John deserves to be behind bars for longer then the 22 years he took as an offer! I can only hope that when the judge sentences this a**hole he changes his mind and gives him the maximum allowed under crimal law! He doesn't belong out in society and i hope he gets to feel the pain he has caused others while he is in prison!

"aaa"- whoever YOU are, i want you to know this is not Amanda. HOWEVER, this is a family member of children that John has harmed. The pain he has inflicked on these children was not just physical, but also emotional and is something that still affects them today. Again, I state that if John had been punished as he should have 9 yrs ago, this little boy's life may have been spared. But I am THANKFUL, that he is FINALLY paying for what he has done, whether it be to the children in my life or to this innocent little boy. 22 years is not even close to enough, to justify the pain that he has caused my family, and i still get to look into the eyes of those children. For this baby's mother, who will never hold her son again, 22 years is a downright insulte. John's comment of being "overwhelmed" in taking care of other people's children and his own, is the most laughable statment I have ever heard! This man is nothing more than a sperm donor, he has never been responsible or supportive of his "children". Thankfully now, those children never have to be subject to his "parenting methods" again!!!i hold faith, that prison life will give John everything he deserves!
