I would never do business with Checker Hills or Pet Lodge! After getting a new puppy, we stopped in and asked for a recommended toy for our breed and age. Manager Keith, recommended Crunch and Crack, that it would last 1 to 2 months. The same day, I called back and spoke to Allison and employee of Checker Hills Farm that after 10 minutes, my puppy chewed through this toy. Allison said to come back with my recipt for a full refund. Stopped back four days later only to be told that the manager said they are not allowed to take returns on any damaged products, he wasn't in that we would have to come back. Feeling that this would be taken care of once we were able to speak with the manager, we spent twenty dollars in the store. I stopped in this morning to speak with Keith, he was unfriendly, saying it was store policy and he didn't recommend this product. Which is a total lie. Then he told me "Thank you for being an outstanding customer" and turned away from me and went back to his office.

I will be contacting CEO of Checker Hill Farms and Pet Lodge on this matter. If this is the way you treat your new clients...how do you ever have "old" ones. We won't be returning to this store unless we get an appology for corporate and refund on a $6.99 toy. I hope they realize the future business that they have lost.

I have always found the staff at Checkerhills to be polite, courteous and extremely helpful. Their product line has always seemed to be of good quality. I'm not sure I can trust the opinion of someone that goes to these lengths over a $7 item anyway.

Ref. the checkerhills at Glenville: I had a feeding issue with my four month old female shepherd... she was very picky! Allison, one of the employees listened to my problem and then provided me some samples. Taste of the Wild is what worked for "Kira"! Each time I have questions, Allison and the staff have always been polite and very helpful! The doggie Day Care is excellent! Michelle, the Manager and her Team are very polite, knowledgeable and in my opinion run a Five Star operation. When I go out of town, I feel confident Kira will be well taken care of!

Checkerhills is a respectable business that will take care of your animals in a professional and courteous manner... FYI, they do not provide common sense to a nimrod that expects indestructible dog toys. Anyone who thinks a puppy will not destroy any/everything is dead wrong and should reconsider the privilege of owning a dog.

This person sounds like a fool. The staff at Checkerhills Farm has always been great. I have been a happy customer for years. They would never recommend a toy will last 1 or 2 months. Don't blame them if they walked away from this person. GET A CLUE LADY!!! I would

We love Checkerhills Farm. Very convenient, great food and treats, the Animal Clinic is right inside and we use the doggie daycare at the Pet Lodge. Very friendly staff, and we love Dr. Ann. 5 Stars ****

Our dog had very bad skin issues. Every spring he would itch so bad his behind would be bare and leave clumps of hair all over the house. Keith recommended Eagle Pack holistic select. Since we have switched to the new food our dog has not had any issues, multiple years now. Cant thank Keith and the staff enough. Will always be a proud patron of Checkerhills Farm.

Have been there several times for Blue Buffalo dog food. It's obviously popular since they have been out of it twice when I went. Who does the inventory/ordering???

I found their review helpful. I am glad they took the time to tell people of their issues with Checkerills Farm. It's not the dollar amount but rather the principle of the matter. I won't do business with them either now because of this helpful review.
