Just Energy is amazing as long as you dont scam yourself. the initial discount they give u isnt how u save your money.... if u lock into a fixed rate when the rates are low (which just energy allows) you will save a great deal

Thank you for bringing these issues up.
To answer your question, as independent contractors, we cannot sent your information to any organization for registration usage without your consent. We do need your signature for application and for verification that you have received your copy of all the documents related (our legal responsibility). There would be an verification call(on the spot) for identify that the account holder is the person who has given the consent.
Just to be clear, it is only an application. You will have to activate the contract (when you receive the verification phone call in 10 days after your application has been sent, regulation from ontario energy board.) for any changes of rates to take affect.
What can I do with your bill? Pay it for you? For heaven's sake, I got my own bills to take care of!
If you have any issues with our company, please stop gossip around, report to our company. If all things fail, report us to Ontario Energy Board as they are the governing body for all delivery and supply companies.
Don't just complain about it, do something to solve it.

If you have has problems with them, do not gossip here, instead, why not contact the Ontario Energy Board as they are the governing body for all contractors.
You still have the contractor's IC#? Get him fired if you are that angry.

just had one of these guys at my door. he kept saying that they provide the energy for our municipal energy provider. so i asked for a moment to call my energy provider and they told me that he was trying to sign us up for a 5 year deal and that they have nothing to do with them. meanwhile, my kind hearted husband had invited him in to stay warm and when i said that we were happy with what we had he just looked at me like i was an idiot and would not budge. i had to open the door and all but physically push him out! honestly, if you want people to sigh up for your scam, you have to be a little bit more professional!

I just got a knock on my door it was a young man from Commerce Energy.He asked me for a PG&E bill I was not dressed at the time still in my robe and slippers so I said no not intertested .But also I noticed the young man had glasses on with no glass in them I knew something was up .So I was not going to give him any bill or let him in. After closing the door I got on line looked up the company and the first words that came up were SCAM that told me all I needed to know about this company .I will not be opening my door again for him or anyone else from that company.

The biggest problem with Just Energy is the lying they do to get people to sign. They then sign people at much higher rates than is even close to reasonable (3x the gas company rates and higher). They have fake profiles ALL over the internet with people saying "I work/worked there and this is definitely not a scam" or "I have had Just Energy for 5 years and it's not a scam". They are grossly taking advantage of people and plainly lying. They change their name occasionally to get around the stigma of their company.

I, unfortunately, was taken in by Just Energy 6 years ago. I live in Winnipeg, MB, Canada and it's either Just Energy or Manitoba Hydro. For five years, Manitoba Hydro's rates kept going down. When I called Just Scamming...I mean "Energy" - I asked them to lower my rate. No dice, they had me for five years on a contract. Cancellation fee of over $1200. I rode it out for those five miserable years and the second I could, I got off their plan. I cancelled a few months in advance to zero cancellation fee, although I did make sure to take down the woman's ID number. Glad I did, because I got a bill 2 months later for almost $80 for the cancellation fee! I phoned back and reiterated what I was told WITH her employee name and number. Last I heard of them. My bill has dropped by over $100/month NOT being on Just Energy. They are absolutely scam artists. From the door-to-door sales to a FIVE year contract (far too long!)- to their inability to lower the rate, ZERO customer service AND a cancellation fee when you want to flee their over-priced program? Forget it. They are rip-off merchants!

Just had Just Energy knock. Attempting to sound like they were on official government business They told me i need to show them my bill so they could protect me and take me off their list. Scam.

I signed up with them last summer in Saskatchewan and I am already paying less than I would have with the utility. Give these people a break. They are providing a service that I am happy to have.

Just Energy is not a scam. They simply offer electricity at a fixed rate. They arent always the lowest but it does save money in most cases. The amount per kw is based on the amount they pay for the energy when you sign up. Right now it is at a base 12.9pkw. They are the only company that offers a long term fixed rate. Other fixed rates are for a short time, then the rates will change. Ive studied this company in depth. They are legit. They have gained 1.8 million customers nation wide since 2002, after deregulation. They have 3 million customers in Canada. This company is legit and booming. Just because you got an idiot sales man that didnt do something right, doesnt mean the company is a scam. Just Energy is a great company. They value
Honesty and integrity. They are just expanding really fast so naturally an idiot slips through and takes advantage of people for their own gain.

Your facts are wrong first no energy company hires anyone under the age of 18.Secondly Just Energy doesnt discriminate and in fact is senior freindly.Giving a brochure to anyone over 70 and passing them on to the customer who is a senior to call in and enroll if they choose to do so.Get your facts straight derugaltion of telecommunications and air travel has significantly reduced cost in both of those arenas.For the past 15 or so years cpmpetitive natural gas prices has offered customers a way to legally save money as has electricity.Like anything you have to do your research but as most people do when they get their bill any bill research has found they look at what date it is due and how much.Reading a bill is about as exciting as watching dry to some they would rather watch wheel of fortune or whatever.Pay attention do research and get updated on your info best resource is your untilties web site and puco public utility commision after all you elected those officials Policeofficers are not the ones to complain to unless your a wreckless driver.All companies going to the door these days have to have proper company identification and pass a background check just so you know.By the way did you run a background check on the criminals you live around probably not.
