to be fair, they may very well be a good, legit company. however my experience is similar with most others. the sales rep was mis-leading, mis-representing. The sales tactic alone led me to believe their training program teaches them to be mis-leading, mis-representing.

Ambit Energy is a month to month program that guarantees a one percent savings for the first year. Just Energy is an open energy market where the consumer can choose to lock in their energy prices. Scam I don't think so great company that offers great deals. |

Hey everyone. I work for just energy aka commerce energy. Our line of work is NOT a scam. What are main goal is, is to shop around for your most competative rates for your source of energy, since they change every 15 minutes on the market. Yes we go door to door trying to help consumers be in control of their energy bills. Yes the programs based of 5 years the first 12 months we decrease your energy bills by 5% and for the remaining 4 years we shop for the lowest competitive price. When you see a price on your bill you are willing to pay, you can call in and lock in that price, and that will be what you pay per ccf or kwf for the remaining 4 years. What we are is a supplier who cuts out the distributor. I am sorry if all of you were misled or misinformed, you can email me at cat11937_2006@ yahoo.com , and i will be happy to answer all questions you guys may have.

I manage apartment properties in ohio and Just Energy is always on one of my properties running their scam. Anytime I see them I kick them off my property right away. I've had several calls from my residents complaining how pushy they are when selling their product and how they try and open their apartment door when they don't answer. Sounds to me that they are looking to rob someone and commit a violant crime.

Their rude & aggressive too. The first time a male sales representative came to my door. I repeatedly told him I wasn't interested & he refused to leave! He finally left when I started dialing the police. A month later, a female sales rep came. As soon as I saw the company name I wouldn't go outside or crack the door. She kept loudly talking over me when I stated no thanks. She even reached for the door when I stepped back! My grandfather signed up for the cheap rates, the bill promptly doubled. These people are aggressive scammers, plain & simple.

Dan Johnson, from Just Energy has been calling my busness for weeks - he insisted on getting my account number to obtain my elctricity usage - this would also give him the ability to access all other items in my account, and even change electricity suppliers - I agreed to forward all bills from first of year to date, meter and account numbers removed from the bills
to this date, no retun call with rate offer - he kept calling himself "Dan Johnson on a recorded line" and explaing his company had been around for 138 years - did not knnow electricity was that old - why the recorded line?- my guess that once he had the account number he would say that he needed it in case I wanted to change companies - and I would be changed no matter what I did, making it a hasstle to change back not really a scam, Just "highPressure" Energy sales... |

Just Energy is NOT a scam . Look at the utility consumer advocate people . They are the lowest price in Alberta. Open your eyes , yeah gas may be low right now. I'm protecting myself from volatity . Read the news ? We are planning buses powered from natural gas ! How long is the gas going to be low ? You take the gamble I will pay to not be on the risky side. These guys are the Canadian company unlike other American / u.k companies that operate in Canada . Not going to name drop . I have been a loyal customer for more than 7 years . I like it. I have my busniess on their program , and find its a more effective wag of budgeting my money . You people that don't like it ? Good for you , you can have unstable bills . Those who are on a program and took that INITATIVE . Well done. This is what seperates the boys from the men . Nuff said

I work for just energy. we are the number one energy supplier in north america. we have no complaints with the OEB, whereas summit, direct was fined heavy. we sales agents don't go around signing seniors. We are serious about keeping our customers happy. we have 1.5 million happy customers. we have the lowest price for gas and electric bill.
Our gas price $40 flat rate on the gas supply charge. Our electricity rate is 3.9 cent a kilowatt hour. |

Just encountered one of these people at my door (how did they get into our apartment building?). She went through her spiel and then asked for info about details of my current bill with Nstar. I wasn't in the mood (it was Saturday afternoon), so I pretended to look up the info and lied about some feature she was looking for (the red flag had gone up by now). She then wanted my name and account number. I gave her an account number with a few digits changed (I should have changed). When she started filling out some contract, I told her to hold off because I wanted to talk to my wife. She tore up the contract (with the phony account number) and left. I came back to the computer and looked up Just Energy and found way more negative info than positive. Red flag, indeed

Also... if Just Energy is not a scam, why do they seem reluctant to just leave info and not get a name on a contract right then and there? A respectable company is not reluctant to just leave info without closing the deal, let alone have to revert to door to door. People who are wary of offending someone, saying no or admitting they don't understand something are their perfect "victims". Tell them they need to try a different approach if they want to sell their service. If they're as great a deal as they claim, they'll get business, particularly in this energy-strapped economy.

I work for JE and we do door-door service, because its the easiest way to talk to people. Most people don't understand what a supplier is and more than likely have questions. If you are going to ask why we don't do it over the phone the reason is most people hang up. I personally don't give out a bunch of pamphlet's because I'm not a paper pusher and it's unlikely you will read any of it anyway.

A guy came to my door yesterday trying to get me to switch and I told him that I wasn't interested and he said I didn't ask you if you were interested I told you that you need to sign up. He went on and on telling me how TXU was screwing me finally I told him to leave that I wasn't going to sign up so he turned around and said youre getting screwed I told him that it's my money and he said y'all some dumb a**es. I told him if he comes back I'm calling the cops. I don't think that's a very professional way to get someone to sign up for new service. It sounded fishey to me when he told me to go get my last electric bill he wanted to see it.

im 51 years old my bill doubled with JUST ENGERY the suck i have car payment bills and im turning there ass in to better bur i cant afford doubble payments i cant pay it they can shut my uti.ff first
|
|
I was not quote a price because I would not devuldge my account number - I provided the usage figures he needed - Having my account number would give him access to more info than he needed - BTW we are stuck with the highest rates in continental America where I live - pay 6.99 - no reason for electric to cost so much more in New England... |
|
I finally got Dan Johnson "on a recorded line" - even with the infomation I provided, he still wanted my account number, and would not give a rate - National Grid (elec) just lowered rates, my guess his high pressure was to give me a lower rate than I had, however, more than what the rate changed to, with the knowledge the rate was going to be lowered - now that the new rate is posted, he has lost the chance to "lock me in" to a higher rate - May have a value, as someone said, however they also said, their value is hidden under horrible sales practices - I agree... ...and the salesman that came out looked like the supervisor from "China Syndrome" with the "Just Energy" striped shirt and 'Just Energy" ball cap, Just sayin"'... |
