The clubhouse has been spruced up, the food choices have been expanded and the horses are ready to run as Saratoga Race Course opens its 140th season today.

'Sam the Bugler' starts his 16th Saratoga season
Opening day at Saratoga will feature the 90th running of the Schuylerville.
Racing fans will get a chance to experience more than $1 million in improvements at the historic track.
There are new air-conditioned restaurants, a refurbished clubhouse floor and a restaurant row featuring offerings from some of the most popular restaurants in Saratoga Springs.

I really wish I could have gone today...arghh! I guess it is not soo bad since the rain was relentless...Saratoga is still a great time in the rain though. I will definitely be going this weekend!
