Another supermarket planned for Saratoga County: Is it Price Chopper?
A proposal to build a 50,000-square-foot supermarket off Route 50 in Milton, NY - five miles south of downtown Saratoga Springs - raises a natural question: which supermarket? The application seeking permission from the town does not identify the market by name, said Wayne Howe , Milton's building inspector.

Any developement of the Rt. 50 and Northline Rd. would be great to reduce speed on Northline, reduce accidents, and provide a wider road. To residents, the heavy traffic has become a great concern. But some of the houses along Northline will have to be bought out to widen the road, get rid of older eyesores, and modernize the appearance to make shopping popular. Buying the houses and land would also provide the developer with the 25% free space required by town regulations without reducing the actual working building lot size. I suspect residents with houses close to the ever busier road would not hesirate to sell at a proper price given the developement will only make living on Northline Road much worse. It's a no brainer that the location for Milton is a perfect development zone and tax boon. As a resident of Milton, I say get it done!
