Second Burlingame residents ordered to pay $3,000 to fund historical report

Full story: www.insidebayarea.com

Shortly after a Newlands Avenue home sale unraveled over questions surrounding its historical significance, a nearby property owner has been forced to fund a $3,000 report for the same reason. The owners of the home at 309 Occidental Ave. — about two blocks from Newlands Avenue — have funded the historic resources report, but it is not yet complete, said Community Development Director Bill Meeker.

To be kind, this property is a scrape as it has been badly maintained from the outside but I can't wait to hear if George Washington lived in this property!

Yes, this illustrates the bizarreness of requiring historic analysis by experts for any property over 50 years old. Taxpayer and individual money can best be spent elsewhere.

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Cancer

If you want to avoid having a row with someone, get out and about as much as possible today so you can work off all your nervous energy. If you stay in one place for too long you'll be in danger of becoming moody, and possibly even a right old crosspatch. You might also lose your temper with loved ones who are being bolshie or who have the audacity to disagree with you about something. Lighten up, Cancer!
