I agree. I was laughing at the minivan I couldn't believe but really though all of those police units for a liquor store robbery?

Sasha,
These guys have committed at least 20 robberies in the past months. They carried an uzi type weapon and were very violent, pistol whipping clerks and threatening to kill people. Thats why there were so many cops up there.

With times as rough as they've been, it's sad to say but its only going to get worse. I pray that no one was hurt and no one gets hurt.

Yes as a East Palo Alto resident I do not care if it is a robbery or a person getting shot.I am glad they have someone behind bars. We are working really hard to make our community a clean community. People like this should not be allowed to get away regarless of what they do. Thank you San Jose Police Department and East Palo Alto Police Department for your work and all the safety you provide in our community.

For those of you who think this is cool. You need to get educated. Apparently you do not know about the consequences these acts have on other people. People like you who think this is cool end up behind bars trying to cry them self's out of jail. So no this is not a Hollywood movie this is real life a real situation where people were treated bad. This kids or adults who made that decision to go inside this liquor store don't know about how hard the owner to the liquor store has to work to get his/her money. They do not know about working because they are lazy to do so.

It's this kind of publicity that gives our city a bad reputation But for maybe 5 percent of Crime that goes on in the city East Palo Alto is where my home is and where I have been for a long time, my neighbors are good people and we look out for one another. EPA is a great place to live.

That was a mess yesterday. It created problems for everyone and gives our city a bad name. The police were looking through peoples car with big guns and kids were present for all of this. Times are very hard and I have a full time job but never will it get that bad that I will turn to robbing.

I am happy to hear they caught the guys- I was passed by the minivan and the 85 cop cars in high pursuit- at the time I thought that something really bad happenned, which it did- at least the police are out in full force, that is good to see as we are in for touch times.

From what ive seen in the past Robbing or stealing or comming up on a popcorn as it was called back in the day. Is only a temperary fix to a problem that takes a ya down a path that inns in jail or death. Ive been around the Area long enough to see them come a go From Spicy Mike, to Mike Washington,Brun't frace Darrell,to when Johnny got killed at ShakeDown. This life style can turn into a wild circle. You will only see this when you step out of the circle.
