I've been here for 2 years now. I haven't seen any "gang Violence" as I would on TV, but I do see alot of people that look like gang members whenever I go to Target or Khols.

When I was young, Livermore had a trashy reputation. Now that I'm a resident, its not so bad. The gang boys don't make it sound any better.

But like someone else also mentioned, "its livermore, what do you expect". I gotta agree with that. If someone has any real money, they probably wouldn't want to come to Livermore. San Ramon, Danville maybe, but not here. And its shows from the people I see throughout town (north and south livermore with the exception of 1-2 areas).

Nothing you can do about gangs. Livermore is hit hard with huge amounts of low affordable housing due to the market.

north livermore is the only problem here im mexican and i wont even live in the north side scums and punks everywhere kids dont even go to school teenage moms with 3 and 4 kids hangin out at the dollar tree and there boyfriends around the corner trying to sell dope at the old laundry mat.fact is livermore police dont mess with that side of town because you cant make any money from poor people so they target the south side of town give bullshiiit ticket and arrest poeple for driving while intoxicated "1 beer" and dont get caught walking out side past 9:30 at nite because you are instantly guilty of being under the influnance of meth until you request they're superviser to come out and then they leave you alone because they know they bust people on b.s this town is a nice town with military style policing guility until proven inocent

oh yeah and due to police busting people" people who work mon-fri and just want to get out and have a good time" for walking from bar to bar on weekends there are about 6 undergrounds bars in this area that you can drink at with nothing to worry about " a few wearhouse bars and house bars with basements turned into bars really cool too no fights or bangers just good times, but like i said it all underground and you have to get invited . and there was a snitch once on 1 of the places to escape too so before anything happened they closed shop and moved it else wear they will never be found or busted , it's like trying to find a bar during proabition you wont unless you get invited

These gangs in Livermore are a bunch of cowardly punks. They will mess with other kids if they have the advantage in numbers (group of 5 picking on 2 kids). I guess they need the #’s since these punks are freakishly all tiny people average of about 5’5 125lbs. that’s also why they like to use weapons. We need the tax money, if you ever went to Harborside Health Center, it looks like a bank only instead of tellers there are budtenders. Oakland's four clubs did over $20 million in sales, all of it paying taxes. That is nothing to turn your nose up at when you look at citywide budget issues.
Pot smokers are not like speed freaks and drunks, they are mellow and they eat alot so the restaurants would be helped too.

Take a look at Harborside's website to take a tour and see how clean, safe, and well run it is.

It's nicer than Wells Fargo downtown and there is security everywhere and they sweep the streets two blocks in any direction.
