It is not based on a real story. It was shot at the filmmakers home in San Diego, California. He hired actors from a casting call that did a great job of creating a back story for the characters.

i wont argue with most of that, as it is your personal belief, and I respect that. However I do not agree christmas is celebrating st nicolas' life.

Christmas is a pagan holiday hijacked by the christians to celebrate jesus' birth.... that really happened on easter?
