Michael Holiday was the owner of Holiday International Security, Inc. and the Company was sold to Lisa Hudec; she than changed the name to USProtect, in 2003. The breaddown accords, when USProtect, decided to change their payroll form direct deposits to hard checks, without talking to their officers. And finally the MOnday of the 13 March, 2008; they tald them that the checks will be hard checks. This alerted several members of the union (UGSOA, Local 52), and also the President (R. Nowosielski). Thursday (13 March, 2008) when the dreadful day happened, is when the USProtect closed her doors, and no one could be contacted, and they took the money and ran, leaving their bank to print worthless checks. But to happen to this fine, outstanidng officers is an out rage, a slap to the face of America..our own home front and they do this. Put yourself in their shoes; how can they feed their families, pay their bills, their mortgage, rent, electrical, phone, etc. Let your voice be heard; let your Congress man/woman know. If you see this Officers; give them a hand shake..and thank them..for they still went to work and are fighting for what is right in America!

I think people need to get the full story. Everyone is adding their own spin on what happened on that dreadful day, 3/13/08. I do understand the people didn't get paid, USProtect will have their day in court and until then get some support from your good ole' government that is wasting tax dollars on the WAR and see if they will give you food stamps or assistance until this thing is hashed out. Unfortunately, the past of her husband is coming back to haunt her and the company. I'm not saying it's right, but let her have her say of what really happened in court!

I work for usprotect to and its bad that people that you trusted do this to all people that work for them. but it does happen and it shows that our goverment does not have a real way to check there background and to check there background once in while. i work at a site that one of the newer accounts and when it started to fall apart was three pay days ago. why could the goverment find out that one of the owners was charged for child misconduct. any way just hope we will be able to get paid and i know that the new company won't pay for any hardship bestold on us workers for penalties that we get for not paying on time. hope that goverment checks more closely.

yes let her have her say but its still happened and if she really feels that this is the only way she could have done it than let her be alone. most of the top people had some information on what was going to happen but did nothing. she had to tell someone? she got her in this problem on her own and now she made all turn against her. look at our goverment and see what they are doing also. telling lies and making us think we are ok!!!! we are not!! only the only way we as a world could do is just die. perhaps that is the only way things of this sort happens to end. just can't trust anyone no more.

Michael Holiday was not the owner of USProtect, he was the former owner of Holiday International Security (HIS). HIS was sold to Lisa Hudec and the company was renamed USProtect.

Sounds like DHS/GSA/FPS just lets these clowns play musical chairs from one Private Contractor circus to another.

DHS should pay the guards for the work they received.

Your article has a lot of wrong information

1. Holiday was not the owner of USProtect. Holiday was the owner of Holiday international which was sold to LISA HUDEC in 2003.

2. LISA HUDEC is the / was the current owner of USProtect.

3. Her husband was friends with Michael Holiday.

4. When Holiday still owend the company he and Hudec bribed a GSA person to get contrats

5. Holiday sold the compnay to HUDEC which put it in his wifes name LISA because he was convicted fellon.

If your going to write a story make sure your facts are straight.

So you are saying that Michael Holiday lied to Federal Investigators when he admitted to bribing Desi Nelson? Do you think he did this to avoid the kiddy porn scandal? I don't think it worked.

Bull crap. These guys didn't get paid, they still haven't gotten paid, they are being told that they should just kiss their money goodbye, she gave herself a 4.5+ million dollar raise in a year and she's to blame, she paid herself to be informed. When are these guys going to get their money? No waiting for court, these poor guys have mortgages and kids and now all their checking accounts are closed and have had no pay for a month! Can you survive that long? Geeze, get a clue!

When it happens to one person, we don't care and we hardly sympathise.
I hope this is a big lesson for all former US Protect employees who are still working these GSA contracts: Stick together and do not be afraid to talk to GSA if you have to, for if you don't you will have a second US Protect.
