who pays for the life of a person wrongfully put to death by the state?

I would like to know from some of you out there, what should be done when people are wrongly convicted of a crime and put to death because:
The D.A. knowingly suppressed evidence that would have saved the person?
The jury was tired and wanted to go home?
The judge allowed all kind of illegal behavior on the part of the police and the D.A.?
Which one pays for the life that they helped to take? Must we continue to shell out tax payers money to compensate for the wrongful deaths that are caused by these bunch of self righteous devils?
