Can anyone recommend any San Diego ad agencies? I'm looking for one of the smaller boutique San Diego ad agencies that can help me with both offline and Internet marketing in San Diego. I'd appreciate any help I could get in finding an ad agency that would be a good fit for me. If you have worked with any good San Diego ad agencies or San Diego Internet marketing agencies please point me in their directuon.

The San Diego Business Journal Ranked MagnifiOnline.com as one of the top San Diego ad agencies of 2008. There is a press release at http://www.magnifionline.com/press/05-12-2009...

Magnifi Online Among San Diego's Top Advertising Agencies

SD Business Journal Ranks Magnifi the Fastest Growing Ad Agency

On May 11, 2009, Magnifi Online was named one of the Top 25 Advertising Agencies of 2008 by the San Diego Business Journal. Each year the journal releases its annual Book of Lists and this is the first year that Magnifi Online made the cut.

The company's founder and CEO, Kris Hutchinson, said, "I am so honored to see our company on this list. We're only three years old but we are truly competing with the big shops in town."

Founded in early 2006, Magnifi Online is both the youngest ad agency on this year's list and the fastest growing. "We may not have the most sales (yet), but we are growing faster than any other agency in San Diego," said Hutchinson. With impressive 218% income growth over 2007, Magnifi Online outpaced other well-known interactive agencies like Geary Interactive, eVisibility, Red Door Interactive, and SiteLab.

In terms of geographic breakdown of clients, Magnifi Online was similar to NYCA, Epicenter Advertising, and 760 Media in that their 2008 client base was well diversified between local San Diego businesses, California companies, national corporations, and internationally based organizations.

Many of the agencies on this year's list specialize in broadcast, print, direct mail, and other traditional advertising media. Meanwhile, Magnifi Online predominantly falls in the "Other" category since about 80% of the company's sales come from online marketing services (and the balance come from web design services). Magnifi Online specializes in paid search management, search engine optimization strategy, landing page design and optimization, and social media marketing.

Hutchinson added, "our plan is to continue doing what we've been doing: thrilling our customers with exceptional customer service and phenomenal ROI. Despite the state of the economy, I am confident that we'll be even closer to the top of next year's list."

We've worked with Magnifi for a couple years now and I agree that they are really good. There really aren't too many agencies in San diego, so we went with Magnifi originally but have been very happy ever since. They specialize in search marketing but overall are one of San diego's best ad agencies. One thing we like is that they offer flat rate and performance-based pricing.

I agree with David, do a Google search. However, I saw some people before mentioned Magnifi Online. We worked them on PPC advertising and are very happy with the results. I think they are one of the better San Diego marketing agencies for sure. Ask for Kris, who is the founder of the company. He will definitely help you out, and if they're not right for your business he will give you referrals. Very easy to work with. Here is their website: www.magnifionline.com

How to Find, Evaluate & Hire Ad Agencies

"Much is written about the process of hiring an ad agencies (marketing agencies). The hiring process itself is easy - with a handful of finalists, you fine-tune and define the requirements, come to agreement on fees for services, establish legal terms and conditions, etc. The challenge is not hiring, but finding the right candidates.

If you accepts the premise that every client wants the very best ad agencies (marketing agencies) they can afford, then the task begins by defining precisely what the client needs and wants in an agency. The client can begin with a clean sheet of paper to define such attributes, or take advantage of existing attribute "menus" which can be found at appropriate third-party Internet web sites designed specifically for that purpose.

If you accept the fact there are more than 30,000 ad agencies (marketing agencies)in the US, then it is impetrative that to reduce the size of that list substantially in order to create the smaller, more manageable invitational list. If such "cuts" were attempted based on services desired (such as account management, creative, media buying, direct marketing, etc.), there would be little reduction in the original list of 30,000 until the collection of services had grown considerably. When clients are asked to identify some of the most critical agency attributes, previous experience in category is generally high on the list. Meaning, clients want to speak with and consider ad agencies (marketing agencies) that have previous or existing experience in their business category.

The candidate identification process begins by finding ad agencies (marketing agencies) with experience in your particular business field. Then it makes sense to screen them further, looking for those that are able to provide the services you want and need. Define and refine that list even further. Seek those that have experience marketing goods or services to the people who purchase your products. If that means "females 25 - 40" or "senior citizens," then make that a condition. If location is important, define that as well. Overall experience (years in business), size (generally staffing rather than capitalized billings) plays a role, and in some cases, membership in associations will add value. Keep these things in mind when searching for ad agencies (marketing agencies)."

You can find San Diego ad agencies in the Yellow pages but the best way to find a San Diego marketing agencies is to get a recommedation from a former client.

To find San Diego ad agencies use a systematic approach. Start with the yellow pages or an online local directory site like Google local and look for San Diego ad agencies. Then call several and speak to a representative at the ad agency. When you have narrowed down the list to a few finalists then do a web search on their name see what comes up. A good ad agency should have many references to it on client sites and there shouldn't be any complaints posted anywhere. There are not that many San Diego marketing agencies and ad agencies so you should be able to do a thorough review of the agencies that meet you criteria.

Great discussion, everyone. This is Kris Hutchinson, the CEO of Magnifi Online. I noticed some folks talking about us -- thanks!

We strive to be one of the top San Diego advertising agencies, and our efforts are really paying off. Not only are we getting tons of word-of-mouth business from our existing clients, we were also just ranked one of the top 25 ad agencies in San Diego by the SD Business Journal.

Thanks to everyone who made this possible!

If there's anything we can do to help your company, please drop me an email or call.

What a joke! how many employees does it take to answer a question!

If Magnfi was so magnificent, they would not the time to troll messageboards. Proceed with caution
