So what's the latest? Are your lawyers any good? Did you lose? Are they still treating you like slop? SD hates the poor. SUE everyone and keep your homes for life. Do what the park guy says. Write to them all.

I have heard absolutely nothing since the last homeowners meeting although I have confirmed that the president was in fact the one who suggested (requested) the yard thing with security driving around taking pictures of people's yards.

I know the picture thing was a little strange. Whatever! Do you know if the letters have gone out? APL have you heard from Lori yet?

I don't know of anyone who has received any letters yet nor do I know of anyone getting billed for cleanup.

*The homeowners have also caught the attention of Lori Saldaña, state assemblywoman. She has asked CCDC to reinstate the Mills Act, while acknowledging the issue is not in her purview.

"We've met with the residents and Lori, she shares their concerns," said Joe Kocurek, Saldaña's spokesman. "She believes they were promised something they didn't receive."

CCDC legal counsel Helen Holmes Peak said that that agency and Hamilton were not responsible for ending the Mills Act benefits, but was rather pointing out the city's mistake.

Hey I found out what Lori's been up to...helping the people at El Cortez...Oh, she beleives they were promised something they didn't receive?(sound familiar) Oh, the city made another mistake, however, takes no responsiblity...again. Sorry little people you must pay, that easy and if you don't we will take your home. Whats up with going after Ms Pres Smith NOW? Defer, delay and deceive our City government at its best. Go Boyz don't disappoint us that's the conduct we expect from you.

Thanks Lori, do you think maybe we were told something we didn't receive?

If you divide $48 Million by 350 homes they would get $137,000 which after paying at least $20,000 to move the unit anywhere, leaves you with not even enough for a down payment on a new home in San Diego. Besides most of the residents are elderly and on fixed incomes. They can't afford to live anywhere comparable in San Diego or California. The CA Mobile Home Residency Law mandates that residents be assisted in relocation, which includes relocation to similar living standards and location. I wish the city luck, they're going to need it. Maybe they should have just taken the deal.
You all knew about this for years before the deadline came and went. They should not have to fund you in any way. It was your choice to wait till the last minute to move. Don't cry to city and your fellow tax payers to bail you out. Just shut up and get out like you were informed to do.

What's happening, everyday I see the bob cat pulling out homes? Wondering how many people will be left after the San Diego Superior Injustice system is done with this place!

I'm on the Bay Club side. Haven't seen any action over here.

Welcome back TBT. For a City that says they're broke, please tell me why they are stopping income flow by removing all these homes. Once they take over the home, why don't they just rent them out? I guess that's what happens when back stabbing, blood sucking lawyers take over. I heard the city council members are going to be at Campland to praise the same guy they called a slum lord. Now that's funny!

Yeah, I did a walk-thru last night and definately noticed more empty spaces. I'm assumming these are the homes of people who have either stopped paying rent or simply bailed out.
