Truth be told,
I just got back from northern Ca where I was helping take care of a relative. That's why you haven't see or heard from me. I was also thinking about De Anza and what our options are. I am trying to catch up on the posts and then make comment. Hope all is well with you and your wife and I'll talk to you soon.

The city owns the land? Why don't they sell it? Don't they need more money to feed and clothe illegal aliens and to go on more vacations and to fill the corrupt government coffers?
This is a no brainer. Sell the land and let some poor guy sort is out and jump through the hoops for the entertainment of these same government officials. Then they can have the palm greased while he jumps.
Keep feeding the dragon tax payers!

Dude, the city does'nt own the land lol--its owned by the state which was leased it out to the city, and yes our city leaders are the worse...don't they have illegals working for them already.....

Gee, all those folks who moved into De Anza decades ago didn't know that the deal was limited, and that the city planned to end the lease? Some of the old farts have Alzheimers as an excuse for not remembering, but the rest are just greedy squatters who now want "their" land that they never owned.

Dude, c'mon man you gotta be kidding me/what is this Nazi Germany---please don't be a fool thinking laws wouldn't apply, c'mon now....again, the state leased the land to the city/the city took on the landlord/owner action and b/c of that the MRL law applied. pretty simple..and another thing, some of those homeowners have mortgages, ahh hello now another law applies called a BANK..man, I can't believe people are so stupid or just being an **** like you...those people are not squating,you dweeb....Look I don't even live there but I'm almost sure their are laws to protect...btw your city leaders are liers but like that famous simpson episode goes "people are like fishes, all I have to do is tell them what they want to hear," and that's you...I hope you don't go to church b/c if you do may the lord Jesus bless your poor poor soul....dweeb...

We just found out that court is May 20th at 8:45 am.
Don't know what it is for but might be important. We are going with friends tomorrow and see what is happening. Wish us luck!

They'll be shutting off the water again tomorrow. At least they gave some notice this time. The reason they gave is that there was a water main break at De Anza last week, however, none of the TV stations covered it like they do for EVERY other water main break. And I don't recall ever seeing one drop of water flowing down ANY street. They must have a new miraculous containment procedure that no one else is aware of.

IF the mobile homes are removed, it is NOT going to be a public park. The city will sublease a great deal of it for another bay front hotel.
Sea World got their height restriction waiver.
I bet this hotel also gets a waiver.
Can you imagine a Catamaran Hotel height building in that location?

Wish I could live there for that cheap. I lived in my nice motorhome
on my $270,000 8 acre piece of land in Jamul and was fined and evicted
by the SD County dept of land use
for not having a permit. They said
I needed to submit building plans for
a house then apply for a temp permit.
This is my land that I have to pay over 2k a year property taxes for and
I can't live on it while I save up to
build a small house. Sorry I don't feel sorry for any of these people.
Wish I could have stayed there another

rosa's right....no money = we lost. ask nthe lawyers some tough questions at our next meeting on the june 4. someone said court is on june 6. the city bleeped us over and maybe our lawyers did too. wher is the dough they promised. where is the money the judge promised. and the city. my kid got nothing but empty promises. someone needs to answer for this. and give some answers to.

time to roll. they paid roppa blood sucking lawyer 330k/i thought the city was broke? but they can pay lawyers thousands and thousands of dollars to fight a state law which this puny azz city ,including the judge, is trying to ignore. all that money being paid to the lawyers could have gone to those residents, its your elective officials squandering your tax dollars going to blood sucking lawyers....dude pay the people the money,so we as a city can move on...they deserve it by the MRL, they do and whom ever think not is an idiot...for all whom are slamming those people in De Anza, SEE MY MIDDLE FINGERS...pay those residents and get them out of their....
