Why? I mean, confidence is a nice thing, but if you want to meet a loving, caring, intelligent, sweet man it seems a bit odd to choose to exclude all but the most bullying ones who will persist even when rejected. Black, white, arab, asian, blondes, brunettes, redheads, short, tall, slim, but not the very fat ones - there are hot girls of *almost* every kind out there... Besides, appearance is only a small part of it, even if it obviously matters more in the beginning, when it's the only information we have about someone.

I'm a white male and my theory is that many men just like tiny women. That's why black males date white females and white males like females from Asia and some of the Latin countries. I'm talking about average body size here.

If I see a slight frame and hear a soft, high voice it doesn't matter what color the female is; i am going to be attracted.

I have inter-racial couple friends and I have seen inter-racial relationships work well.

On the other side, I have also seen a black racist male with a white girl and a white racist male with a black girl. It is easy to be sweet when you are happy with one-another. The racism usually comes out when things aren't going well.

So there is initial attraction and then there is true love that comes from years of helping and caring about each-other.

I'm always suspicious of people's internal motivation when they say "I ONLY date X" or I "ALWAYS prefer Y". I suppose it's a bit like saying "Black people are ALL of one type" or "Jewish girls ALWAYS behave this way" which strikes me a bit like a soft racism at worst, narrow mindedness at best.

I'm a white guy in his late 30s who has dated all kinds of girls and saw something beautiful in all of them. Now I'm with the most wonderful black girl who has all of those beautiful characteristics in one, with character and integrity to match.

I'm fortunate to have family and friends that see my girlfriend for everything she is to me. I'm also thankful that they don't assign characteristics to her based on ethnicity. I know I risk sounding cliche, but how about just getting to know somebody for who they truly are? Maybe, just maybe, you'll find that color, body type, or overall ethnicity don't matter as much as you thought they did.

Well Tom i just think what you are saying is stupid! We are not birds, lions or any other animals you might think of comparing us to. We are humans!!! And a man is a man and a female is a female no matter what race they are. We are all the same its just that we come from different parts of the world (one world). Anyway, I'm a black female whos been into the rugged, outdoorsy type of white men for a while, but again, I've never been approached. There's always cat-calling, staring from car windows, sly comments made on the street, but when I'm in the appropriate atmosphere, no moves are made. The thing is, I understand why this is, but I'm not sure what angle to take when trying to appease the situation ( if i should be aggressive, or mysterious, or laid back....) I just don't want to give the wrong idea.

I have dated black girls before. this one black girl that i was friends with didn't want to date me because she was to afraid of what other black people would think about seeing her with a white guy. Im 16 black, my moms mixed but looks white and my dads black, At my school theres like alot of white girls who go out with black guys and it seems not to be a problem but i have noticed that theres only 2 black girls with white boyfriends, but it seems like everyone thinks its horrible for black girls to date white boys but when its a white girl and black boy its just like not a problem. well in my experiences, white woman from the US have a personality type that I just am not attracted to, very very minor exceptions that being if the girls hot, its on, but cant get into a relationship. I very much like black girls though, it is difficult being able to get to know a black girl though because usually she's with black friends and im a little afraid that their friends will judge them as soon as i walk away, or that i will get rejected which has happened before when there friends are present. But then again ive met a couple black girls hanging out with mixed friends, these are the girl i generally try to talk to. I do wish there was less social anxiety when dealing with people from opposite races, and even less stigma when dealing with their friends. People should definatly be more open minded.
