The owner of this company is very unprofessional! He curses at his employees everyday and yells at them for no reason. He runs his ambulance company through intimidation. Employees quit every week practically and he has no patience and belittles his EMTs and everyone else who works for him! They use unethical practices in the business. His wife who is a nurse used Code 3 (lights and sirens) so she wouldn't be late to another patient's pick up appt. and that's illegal! They stock expired meds and don't use filters on their morphine bottles so you can get glass shards in your shot. He doesn't maintain his ambulances regularly so their not running in tip top shape.

Everything in this quote is true, Worst employer ive ever had. Personally says "90% of training for EMS is on the job" but then expects you to know everything fresh out of EMT school and when you dont you get either belittled or yelled at. Personally complained about the Code 3 (lights and sirens)and being told to drive illegally, He didnt care. There are so many things wrong with this company I dont have enough time or characters.

This company is ok. It would be alot better if paul the owner let mike the "vice president" run things and him and his went away

Unprofessional, not honest, late, very late, wrong pick up times; so many frequent problems that I stopped using them. They will farm out jobs they don't want or think they won't make enough money on but they will not tell you that another company will provide the transportation. Instead they will lie and tell you that they are providing the transportation. You find out the truth at your pick up time. Too many headaches.

I could not agree more with the comments posted here already. I was a nurse with little experience who received no training or support. Lead by example is NOT anything Paul believes. He is a true tyrant who's business is literally kept afloat by using his RN wife to run calls at any hour day or night. Not tht her attitude is much better then his. They are incapable of retaining staff (EMTs Medics and Nurses and Operation Directors aliike) in a down economy and that tells it all. Needless to mention how often payroll checks would bounce, and so I moved on after a few months of abuse. I am only sorry I could not find new jobs for all the hard working EMTs. The EMS authority should put this company out of business!!!!

I knew nothing about this perspective employer. I got "hired". So far, I have not worked a day for them. I have tried to call and text to see what was going on. I still don't know if I actually work for them or not.

The owner is rarely present. The managers never work together. The buck is always passed around. They only order supplies once a year. They break the rules to keep business, but they'll ditch business to pick up calls from other companies to keep them happy. In all honesty, if the CEO doesn't do something soon, the rest of the employees will leave. This is a company the has an abusive relationship with its employees. They hire people who know nothing, yet expect you to learn every thING your first day. I wonder everyday how they remain in busines. They're reputation is getting worse in the ER's. They never run ALS calls....or they'll run them BLS and the hospitals are taking notice. They need to revamp their practices.

Paul Lakish is literally one of the worst human beings/bosses I have ever worked for. Be prepared for your paychecks to bounce and to be sworn at and degenerated everyday. EVERY single review on here is TRUE! His wife works on the ambulance as well and is almost as bad. I quit two months ago and it was the best decision I ever made. Do NOT work for this company!!!!!!

Paul Lakich and his wife are terrible bosses and business owners. My payroll check bounced more times than I care to admit. Instead of admitting that he spent all the money on useless shit for his home, himself or his wife, Paul always said it was a "bank issue." He would yell, swear and belittle staff anytime he actually came to the station. He is a miserable human being and I hope I never have to see him again. He lacks integrity and takes no personal accountability for his poor leadership skills. Michael Baker (business manager) is a compulsive liar and he does not work well with others. He talked so much crap about Paul and his wife that I'm surprised they call each other friends. I'm glad I left when I did because I can't imagine spending another day with these people!
