Saudi have good surplus economy. But they have unemployment rate exceeding USA unemployment rate in recesion. Because Saudi don't have industry. The reason they don't have industry, because cleric are prejudice about university. And cleric limit the education, because acording to cleric, education are source of heretical.

Yes I agree that S.Arabia has a hefty trade surplus and 1 trillion invested in US; but it demographic pattern is a time bomb. Of the 28 million, half are under 25 and not skilled. When this generation marries and reproduces, the Saudi population is set to sky rocket. Where will the jobs etc come from?

The Iranians are the internet is slowly eroding Saudi control; & the population will rebel & overthrow the ruling Saudi family.....soon I hope.
