A region of our country that does NOT bow to the propaganda and demands of the present day neurotic MAJORITY! This is only the beginning of the END for the whiny, hyperbolic group that can't take responsibility for their own neuroses. Enough is ENOUGH!!!!!

KUDOS to Campbell County!

What a bunch of backward neanderthal hillbillies. Campbell County should be embarrassed by their hick ass council members. I'd like to see how fat their wallets got from big tobacco.
Once they learn to walk upright they will understand the need for smoking restrictions.

So don't go there if you don't like it. Nobody's forcing you.

Hey, FU! Your harmful smoking habit isn't going to dictate where I can and can't go. It's your habit keep it to yourself. How about you stay home if you can't be respectful of others around you. Step outside smoke and step back in, you can walk upright, can't you?
It may take another year or so for the smoking restrictions to be passed but I will never quit until you ignorant smokers are outside.

I have to agree. It is embarrassing to live in Kentucky. I can at least say I'm not from KY. Number 1 state for smoking related deaths and 47th in education. These stats could be related, I don't know. For you smokers, stop throwing your butts on the ground. If you don't have someplace to put it then eat it. Those of us that are better than you don't want to have to live amongst your filth.

Here's the difference between you and I, I enjoy going to bars to have a few drinks, dance, listen to music, watch sports on TV, play darts, shoot some pool and socialize with friends and family. I am in great health and I just donít want to risk the harm that second hand smoke can cause. Is that fair to me who enjoys the bar scene but canít partake because of someone elseís harmful smoking habit. Iíve been to states that have smoke free bars and restaurants and wow what fun I have and you can breathe. Smokers have accepted that smoking is not permitted or is socially unacceptable and just step outside smoke and step back in. If you havenít been to a smoke free bar you really should and Iíll bet you get the bar scene bug again. Weíve long accepted that smoking and bars go together but that is sooooo not true. Sooner or later the Kentucky will be smoke free hopefully, I wonít be too old to enjoy them again. When I go on vacation I make sure it is a smoke free bars and restaurant state.

When smoking was banned in Ohio, hundreds of bars had to close. All you people who want smoke-free bars sure seem to stay home once the law is passed.

Everybody knows smoking sucks. It'll kill you. But do you really want Big Brother deciding what you shall eat, drink and smoke? Who you sleep with? Which sex acts are legal?

There are places in Northern KY that are smoke free. Go there, have a good time. I chose to go where my friends can smoke. If you don't like it don't spend you hard earned cash in smoking establishments.

You're free to go to smoke free bars.

Let the market decide.

If most of the patrons smoke the owner should be allowed to let them.

If the owner wants it smoke free, then smokers don't have a RIGHT to smoke in his place either.

Live long and Smoke Free

As more people become, "edjamacated" fewer will continue smoking. It's only a matter of time, plus more smoking related deaths before people living in Campbell Co. demand their right to breath toxic/tobacco free air when they go out for a evening of fun.

I have no problem with smoking, but, keep your smoke to yourself. I should not have to be forced to smoke because of your addiction. Your years I have lobbied for emissions control systems to be mandated for cigarettes. then you can smoke all you like, anywhere you like.

This ridiculous reversal will only give momentum of a statewide ban. After all, how is it that THREE people can decide for a whole county?

The state legislature will respond appropriately to this snub to the people of Campbell County and the state as a whole!

The highest percentages of cancers for both men and women in the US are for LUNG AND BRONCHUS CANCER! I am in the medical field, and I frequently see patients with emphysema, COPD, and lung cancers. While I do not support smoking, I don't give a crap if you are dumb enough to inhale toxins, but DO NOT do it anywhere around me!
I also love to go out bars and have a few drinks and dance; however, by the end of the night, I have a massive headache from the horrible smoky bars. I agree with a previous poster when they said they just want to go out and enjoy the bar scene without the smoke. I do not wish to get lung disease from secondhand smoke.
While I don't forsee this smoking ban being implemented all throughout Kentucky, famous for tobacco, I hope more places begin to ban it.
