Careful dredging up Beaver Lake... you'll never know what cars, guns, bodies... you'll find in there.

We all know what old ghosts we find in Beaver Lake.

The sediment and debris is coming from a sinkhole that is located further up Merrimon Ave? Fix the sinkhole please. There is no excuse for this kind of trash to be washing into our ponds, streams and lakes.

Why isn't the city paying for this? The city of Asheville has grown over the years, and they have been diverting storm water into the pipe that caused the sink hole, yet the city claims it isn't their problem, it is the property owners. The owners have tried to take this to the city a few other times. they have already spend hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to fix it, but there isn't anything they can do if the city keeps diverting water there. How are thee owners going to come up with the money to fix this? Why did the city give the old owner in the 70's a permit in the first place? The city of Asheville needs to step in and divert the storm water properly, or it will happen again, if not there, then somewhere else on Merrimon.
