Nor'easters originate in the north, not the south. This past weather system originated in Louisiana/Mississippi and moved northeast. The writer of this news article should be embarrassed.

Try again there Bubba. Better to be silent and thought the fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Did you bother to read the content from the link you posted?

..."A nor’easter (...) is a macro-scale storm along the upper East Coast of the United States and Atlantic Canada; it gets its name from the direction the wind is coming."

..."The term is most often used in the coastal areas of the upper East Coast north of New York City"...

Maybe you should take a seat in a 3rd grade geography class at your local elementary school. Apparently basic geography is not one or your strengths.

Obviously, it's time for you to put your foot back in your mouth and remain silent now.

Hey Einstein. Can you read what the meteorologist wrote? Do you somehow think you are smarter and know more about what a NorEaster is? Did you seems the storms path? It WAS a NorEaster ya dipstick.

"“It started down in the southern states and everybody was worried about Atlanta and the Carolinas … and then it came up the coast,” said Ken Batty, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.

“This is the first real big Nor’easter that the state has had this winter. We’ve had a lot of two to six inch snow storms that certainly bother you when you try to do your morning or evening commute.”

Thank you for making it clear that neither you nor Ken Batty understands how to use the term, "Nor'easter."

Can originate in the Gulf of Mexico or off the coast of NC.

This is such a critical thinking issue that I must delay my response until I can undertake a crash course in Meteorology. Stay tuned.

Now that is funny stuff. You actually DO think you are smarter and know more about the weather than a National Weather Service meteorologist. Hahaha And your credentials would be what again? LOL Lets see, who to believe, a topix dunce or a meteorologist from the NWS. LOL
