I welcome the news personally.
It will allow more Westerners to travel freely to Russia and see for themselves. For many, obtaining a visa is an obstacle, acting as a deterent to travel there. Also good to see Russia curbing its ponderous bureacracy.
I don't think many more Russian tourists will "flood" Europe; the currency exchange rate will see to that.

May I point out ?
Russia is a big country. Plenty of people are already well off. So, we will see many of them around. Of course, tanked royally.

Well, in that case they are welcome to spend money here! We already have the very rich Russians pushing property prices up in London. They also buy our private jets, our yachts, our golf courses.

Partially, you are correct, but there are plenty of common folks coming too. These are the jewels of Russia.

From the tourist point of view, everyone should be welcomed.
Have you ever been to any resort where Russians are accommodated ?
I tell ya, itīs one big puny bunch, full of loud obnoxious kholkhozniks.

Yes, I have heard from the excesses of Russian tourists in Turkey. Some Turkish resorts don't want to accept them anymore.

No wonder.

Some of these people are loaded with cash, but as you might know, when Koplik gets rich unexpectedly, he hardly knows how to behave.
Certainly, itīs the Russian case.
