On 7 November 2003, twenty five member countries and since then fourteen more --signed directly or sent letters of support for a
Statement to the 58th Session of the United Nations’ General Assembly. The Statement read in part: In the former Soviet Union millions of men, women and children fell victims to the cruel actions and policies of the totalitarian regime. The Great Famine of 1932-1933 in Ukraine (Holodomor), which took from 7 million to 10 million innocent lives and became a national tragedy for the Ukrainian people. Obviously countries are investigating the genocide that Russia had been covering up for decades. More and more scholars, researchers are acknowledging the Russian Holodomor genocide in Ukraine was exactly that --a premeditated genocide disguised as a "class struggle." The motive was Russian colonialism. |

2 Ukrainien Nazi-era propaganda and diversions from the topic will not change the fact that scholars including some respected scholars, some who are also Jewish, consider the Ukraina and Jewish Bolshevik Terror-Famine in Russia 1917-90 to be a genocide. |

Ukraina and Jewish Bolshevik Terror-Famine in Russia 1917-1990? What are you talking about? |
I believe he means the fact almost all leaders of USSR and NKVD from 1917 to 1937 were of Jewish heritage. But as it happened later Mr Stalin shot them in 1937 in the Great Terror and they cannot be blamed in any issues. |

You can read it here
http://www.ihr.org/jhr/v14/v14n1p-4_Weber.htm... With the notable exception of Lenin (Vladimir Ulyanov), most of the leading Communists who took control of Russia in 1917-20 were Jews. Leon Trotsky (Lev Bronstein) headed the Red Army and, for a time, was chief of Soviet foreign affairs. Yakov Sverdlov (Solomon) was both the Bolshevik party's executive secretary and -- as chairman of the Central Executive Committee -- head of the Soviet government. Grigori Zinoviev (Radomyslsky) headed the Communist International (Comintern), the central agency for spreading revolution in foreign countries. Other prominent Jews included press commissar Karl Radek (Sobelsohn), foreign affairs commissar Maxim Litvinov (Wallach), Lev Kamenev (Rosenfeld) and Moisei Uritsky. Lenin himself was of mostly Russian and Kalmuck ancestry, but he was also one-quarter Jewish. His maternal grandfather, Israel (Alexander) Blank, was a Ukrainian Jew who was later baptized into the Russian Orthodox Church. A thorough-going internationalist, Lenin |

How does that tie in with Ukrainians? The Jews were never all that popular with the cossacks. |
What is your point? |

1 My point is to try and blame Soviet crimes on Jews is nuts or on Ukrainins is nuts but to try and link the two blaming both is really nuts. Where would such an idea come from? |

Who blames? The author of the Historical review? Or mr Krishna when he write not "Russians" but the euphemism "Russians Bolsheviks" because he knows what happened to be new for you in the Review? Nobody blames anybody in the crime which did not exist in erality but in stinky brains of the west Ukrainians Nazis who heroizes the Nazi Henchmen. |
|
So you personally decided to blame all the Soviet crimes on Russians? Why? Because you hate Russians? It's not a valid reason. May be it's valid for idiots... |

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holodomor
""Modern scholarly estimates of the direct loss of human life due to the famine range between 2.6 million [1][2] and 3-3.5 million[3] although much higher numbers are sometimes published in the media and cited in political debates"" Is the holodomor being warped, twisted and over exaggerated by anti russian neo nazi american imperialist cia agents? You know at least 1.4 million RUSSIAN soldiers held by nazis in prisons were sent to the gulag for being traitors at end of WW2? KKKrishnumarty, are you saying it is okay for communists to make russians suffer, but not the Ukrainians? Why make a special case out of Ukraine, one that you always exaggerate? To anyone who is not a FOOL this is obvious. Why turn holodomor into specifically Ukrainian tragedy when there are other people who suffered as well, who were not ukrainians? |

Is this another Russian chauvinist post from Moscow via proxie server in USA? Does anyone believe Russia's Stalinist lies? Will Russia own up to its serial and multiple genocides of which Holodomor was only one of many? |

Utah remembers the Holodomor....
Death by hunger:'These things should never be repeated' Dozens gather to commemorate 75th anniversary of the famine imposed by Stalin, welcome international remembrance flame By Jennifer W. Sanchez The Salt Lake Tribune Article Last Updated: 05/09/2008 12:41:45 AM MDT Alia Tukhtarova Herrod never knew about the 1930s genocide in her native Ukraine when she was growing up. Her relatives didn't talk about the period when the former Soviet Union, under Joseph Stalin, forced famine among its people. History classes didn't teach her about the estimated 7 to 10 million people who died. The Ukrainian genocide of 1932-33 is known as the Holodomor, or death by hunger. Many Ukrainians didn't start discussing the event until the country became independent in 1991, Herrod said. "It's a bad history, so it's hard to remember," said Herrod, 38, who moved to Utah in 1993. "Some people still don't want to acknowledge it happened." See: http://www.sltrib.com/news/ci_9200978 |
