I have read many media reports regarding Putin's wealth. Some credible and neutral organizations rank him as the wealthist single person in the world. His wealth is so hidden, only a small inner group of his friends, former KGB officials, are aware of where it is hidden along with their stolen funds as well.

Corruption is everywhere in the world. That is why the USA and Canada changes the leaders by due constitutional processes every four years,or so with mid term elections in the USA in addition. Russia is corrupt to the core, and Putin's group cannot be budged. So Russia is as rotten as ever. Blat , corruption, bribery, theft ,dishonesty is the lifeblood of commerce there. Putin and the Oligarchs form the rotten core of the russian leadership. So that is apparent to all.The beauty of the American system is that if you don't like the president and his crew, you can vote him out and start with a new bunch. Same in Canada and the UK.Putin and Co. cannot be removed.

Putin can be removed.(1) By Passive Revolution ,(2) By violent Revolution, by (3) By social Revolution. In all accounts however, it must have and maintain a majority of support by the people. AND, of course, civil war. Viewing the Aran Spring, for good or worse, like Egypt, a dictatorship was removed by basically non-violent means. In three days, another massive demonstration against Putin will be conducted. And this, during the dead of a very cold winter. The Spring thaw and warmer temperatures will arrive in Russia in several weeks, and it will be interesting to see what grows.
