He will get through this fine.

It is sad that the Russian authorities continue with this persecution. It is just the beginning of another rash of lonline of non-sensical rulings like this.

The brother's must fight this with all their vigor.

Maybe we should blacklist Russia.
Everyone should have the right to worship or not as they please without government interference, even if the JWs don't want that.

The news article said that the JWs were distributing material that was designed to discredit other religions.
I would say, that is exactly what their articles do say. They go so far as saying that God will destroy them all for teaching lies about him.
They really can't get out of that.
And as for being persecuted, the article talks about another 265 other organisations that have also been targeted by the Russian authorities. So it can hardly be called persecution.

The JW's could probably avoid this if they were not so concerned with peddling their man-made publications.

If they just used the bible, it would make things much easier.

But when your purpose is to promote a publishing company, you have added hassle.

He said if they 'just' used the bible. They likely took the bibles as well as other publications. Publications which only protect their right to religious freedom not anyone else's as is clear in how they describe other faiths, including the Christians.

What does the BIBLE say that God will do to false teachers?

Should they also ban the Bible?

You see it amounts to this. Anyone teaching what the BIBLE actually says should be banned intheir eyes.

Those who are interested in exactly what the Russian government has banned can see the publications here:

Judge for yourselves.

This whol banning issue has been brought about by the Catholic Church because Jehovah's Witnesses teach people the TRUTH about the Bible.

Beowulf is advocating that we should not care about freedom of speach.

He thinks it is ok to stop people saying that they do not believe what religion teaches.

Perhaps they should do the same in America? Stop people from saying that they do not believe that a religion is true?

Of course Beowulf would have to stop writing that he does not believe what Jehovah's Witnesses teach is true wouldn't he?

So he is only really interested in SELECTIVE 'freedom of speach'.

Does that go for every other religion using the bible, or does that claim just satisfy the JW persecution complex?

Have you joined them yet, or is your faith in them not that strong at this point?

You never seem to want to answer that question.

If Jehovah's witnesses preached what other religions of Christendom preached or taught, they would not be persecuted. They would be just like anyone else who just thinks they are saved.

Faith is the confident assurance that you will be rewarded for your dedication and obedience to God's will as stated in the Bible.

Jesus said the truth would be preached throughout the whole earth, then the end will come, no one but Jehovah's witnesses are courageous enough to be whole souled in their service to Jehovah God, the same as Jesus and his early followers were.

(Matthew 24:14). . .And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.

(Hebrews 11:1-2). . .Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld.

I wonder if some other faith went door to door with literature discrediting JW for their UN involvement, problems with pedophilia, all their false dates and so on, I can imagine the back lash.

You misunderstand, I think the witnesses should be free to practice their religion. It's just that they don't think anyone else should be.
