Russia condemns Syria's suspension from Arab League

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Monday condemned Syria's suspension from the Arab League over its lethal crackdown on protests, saying the move was "incorrect." "We believe this to be incorrect," Russian news agencies quoted Lavrov as saying in the Russian Far East city of Khabarovsk.

I would be surprised if russia and China took a proactive stance against tyrants and criminals like Assad. They hide behind the veto and then vote when there vote does not matter anymore just so they do not loose an economic angle.

I would not say they love Iran but because Iran used to buy arms from Russia they want to protect a future customer.

Russia and China will never go along with any of more of that UN "no fly zone" crap in Iran or Syria. It is just a another ploy by the West.
