Wow, Russia is threatening the US by preventing their ORPHANS from having better lives? Really?

Should North Korea also threaten the South Korea that it will stop receiving food aid unless the food undergoes 2x normal inspections?

That's some seriously messed up shit right there.

well, but there were several adopted from Russia kids killed in USA - so what is the choice?....actually Russian ophenage system provides education and after graduation at age 18 free of charge appartment for an ophan as a bonus from state to start life...many prominent Russians came from Russian ophenages - for example minister of culture in Gorbachev's governmnt Nikolay Gubenko and some others...if he were killed after adoption in USA hardly it would be better alternative for him...

are you seriously comparing life in the US with life in a Russian orphanage???
I am not sure where you get the idea that living in a Russian orphanage is actually good for you (I am assuming the PR of the orphanages + government), but last I checked, it wasn't...
MANY kids/people are killed in Russia too. Unless you are saying that the kids were killed by the adoptive parents in the US, then claiming that "couple of kids died so we will stop THOUSANDS from having better lives" is bullshit.
I feel sorry for the kids and everyone related, including the adoptive parents. I also feel the couple who "returned" the boy were wrong.
But this is HARDLY a reason to stop letting US adoption go on.

There have been people who have come out successful from the Gulags. Would you say that is a justification to prevent more people from leaving Gulags (if they existed) and finding a better life? Comparing a Russian orphanage and a US home is very similar to a Gulag/non-Gulag life....

If you equate Russian ophenage to Gulag then you are an idiot - just a waste of time to discuss with you anything...
