We are writing you in hope that you may help us.

We are trying to locate the former officer of a Romanian
ship who saved our father from drowning during a typhoon
in the Taiwan Straits on or about October 20,1988.

The only information we have is:

Name: Paduraru Livio/(u)
Address: Constanta, St. Mircea Nr 146, B. C F2 Ap.38

The spelling is not verified as this information was written
on a piece of wood.

The only information we have about the ship is it's Chinese
name as reported in the newspaper at that time as: "Hu Xi".

This ship brought our father to Dalian, China where he
recovered and then returned to Taiwan. He now would
like to revisit and thank this "Captain" and crew.

Please advise us as to your ability to locate this person.
His estimated age would be 55 - 60 years old. He may have
been the Captain or other officer.

Sincerely,
John & Lillian
