In the defense of science

As an editor in the Evolution Debate forum, I find that the views TEND to be polarized between Atheism defending evolution and Creationists attacking. This is an undesirable predicament as it is not indicative of the actual demographics of support for evolution. I am here seeking spiritual support of science from freethinkers. If interested, and capable of being threatened with hell on nearly every post, please stop by.

I have only been on topix for a little less than a year now. You may have read some of my posts.

I have been interested in seeing a merger of the east and the west. I see much in eastern spiritual thought that is in harmony with the latest findings in western science.

I also see creationism as a part of a dangerous form of cancer that has permeated our whole globe. Creationism is a very real insanity that can not be dealt with with reason.

Creationism is based on a false assumption of an external and controlling god of a MANLY nature.(barbaric warrior) that has terrified people for centuries. This cancer feeds on people's fear and of course the caretakers of the cancer are rewarded handsomely.(think tithing :)) not to mention some of the other arrangements that are benefited by this arrangement such as vast military empires, huge dynasties,... etc

I call this cancer the "Patriarchal Religious Military Industrial Complex"

human nature being what it is the majority of people are apathetic to what is going on, a small number are born leaders (crazy, but leaders), and an even smaller number are trying to aprehend what is actually occuring and deal with it.

Most of the born leaders tend to gravitate to the fundamentalist pastures being fundamentalist themselves. Others become Tyrants in industry, some gravitate towards the military or politics, all in all these people that find themselves at the top, although not fully conscious are conscious enough to protect their own.

Another word for "born leader" would be bully.

What is really funny once you have seen the irony of it is the nature of the Cosmos is ultimately egalitarian. Bullies are a form of cancer. A lesson for us all!

Apathy does not cure cancer!

We are fast approaching an age of which no name can yet be given, an age in which science shatters all false religions as we go forth into a new perception of reality together as a species.

A perception that includes the eternal component of each and every one of us.

This is evolution on the stage of eternity, a progression of entities defining who they are in relationship to each other.
