That can be said about every denomination out there. Not all Baptist are like that.
Then again you may not like them b/c they point out sin. Take homosexuality for example. The bible clearly states its a sin but Christians are called homophobes and bigots if they speak out against it.
By the way aren't you being judgmental your ownself?
it also says that women should be below women, we should not get tatoos, we shall not wear clothing of wool and linen, no eating shrimp, and all in the same book in the bible where it states that being a homosexual is wrong.

They are in the catagory of Pharasee's. The Religious who thought they were better than everyone else.

Christ revealed to these Religous types as followers of Satan.

Gives you clue about Satan's children(All those who are Religous)

Baptist real problem is their worship of Ring Dings and Twinkies.

Satans children are easily ID ed as those who pratice self rightous, cruel, haughty, proud, arrogant and bully-ish .

Sound familar?

Get the idea who Satan really is yet?

Don't ever confuse Christ with a Baptist preacher.

Southerners in general think they are better tha everyone else, and trample on others personal rights given to those by the Authentic God.

Just like the Jews, they think their culture entitles them to heaven.Or being born in a certain region entitles them to heaven.

It doesn't.

We recently left a Baptist church because it was clear that the church was one whith Christ warned in Revelaton about church leaders being Nicolaitans. The three pastors were also the only church Elders (which is apostate to Biblical teaching). The senior pastor even went so far as saying he "I am God's gift to the church."... how utterly self-righteous and cultic. They also said anyone who had spiritual gifts (speaking in tongues, etc.) were sinners, yet he said he agreed that "pastoring" is a spiritual gift. They also "required" church membership and to sign a document of commitment to the church...and the pastors had to approve your application... There is NO Biblical reference requiring church attendees to sign a commitment or membership. There's no wonder that these kind of churches and pastors are apostate to Biblical Christianity and will miss out on Jesus' rapture of the true church...and they will be left behind to enter the Great Tribulation under the dictatorship of the anti-Christ.

Alot of southern baptists that I have met, tend to be VERY gay, and practice faith by works. while others are so strict and religious that it is impossible to bond with them unless you agree with every thing they say and believe. I prefer a seeker friendly church, as those are the only ones that really seem to attract new people these days!!

If you want welcoming & rejoycing Baptist who are truely spirited with Gods joy, I suggest you pack up & move to Georgia. Look for the Southern Baptist of the black race. They're called "happy baptist", & they truely are! But by all means, stay out of the mid-states (aka "bible belt).

They have departed from the Baptist doctrine and adopted the Brethren doctrine of the 7 yr tirb and joined the band wagon of the Catholics Jack Van Impe and Hal Lindsay.

Many or most now have the so-christian Ecumenical flag in their church and follow traditions of men.

Some even wave the Hexagram flag: star of Lucifer. It is a Catholic and Islamic and Zionist symbol. It is the family flag of Rothschild - the man that owns Israel. One man owns Israel and also has control of the papal treasure. He is the man of sin right before your eyes

The blood Jews descendants of Jacob are against Zionism and the Hexagram flag. Their symbol is the Menorah.

Only two religions don't have the Hexagram: Christians and Jews. The Ashkenazi Jews of Israel are Gentiles and never adopted Judaism. One can easily look and see the Jews today protesting Zionism and the hexagram flag just as they did when Israel became a nation in 1897

My mother is in a major hospital in Rochester, NY. She is in very bad health and I called the chaplaincy services to find someone who could read to her or with her prayers to St. Anthony and the Lord's prayer. I am not even christian, but WNY is heavily catholic and I didn't think it was a difficult request. I left a voicemail, it was after hours. A chaplain who is Southern Baptist visited her. He brought prayer cards with prayers to St. Anthony on them. He could not read those prayers or the Lord's prayer. He said he isn't allowed due to his religion. He went further than that though. He told my mother what he found fault with in the Lord's prayer and what he found fault with in the catholic religion. I was stunned to hear a chaplain in a hospital would act that way. Was he trying to convert a 60 year old woman? It is not a religious hospital. I called the number and talked to him personally. I asked if someone could be found to read those prayers to her. He seemed 'miffed' is how I describe it. He said "What is it that you want me to do for you?" Well, I had just told him. Finally he stated that a eucharist minister would be in on Sunday and would see my mother. Do eucharist ministers read these prayers? I don't know. He just said the minister would give my mother communion. So now I have to look up if this one will read the prayers. He should have been more helpful. He seemed very aloof and like I was a bother.

The Eucharist is a Catholic rite thingy.
If you call a Baptist to minister to a Catholic they are inclined to approach the person for personal needs and if they are a true born again Christian.
BTW; 60 is not that old. Those prayer will or would be read by a Catholic but not a Baptist.
Many a Catholic becomes saved.
Baptist stance is (if the real deal) is sola scriptures. Those prayers are not per scriptural doctrine but are accepted within Catholicism.
Basically one has to be there to actually what is going on. But; let it be known --- Baptist stance is: the Papacy is Antichrist since its inception in 313AD. If you claim Catholic, then plan to hear an attempt to be converted to Christianity. The Baptist is not against the person but a religious system.
I'm not exactly how it was handled but he should have been nice and offered to pray with here and then pursue conversation per her request. There's a lot of folks out there playing Christian in ALL denominations; none have a comer on that market.

Wow, hypocrisy at its best. Lets see. A cult that judges people based on superstitions is not acceptable. I dont care if you dont like truth. But creating hostility is wrong. Homosexuality hurts no one. So dont play the "Arent you being judgmental" game with me. Its just a sneaky tactic to make any legitimate criticisms against your hateful ways look like hypocrites to distract people from legitimate criticisms of your hate mongering cult.

The righteousness of Jesus is looked upon a self righteousness by the non-believed or those unsaved and on their way to damnation.

Why not get off your high horse and seek God and humble yourself. Homosexuality is a sin and hurts the person and often those they encounter. Trying to justify one's self is the most self righteous act there can be. You will stand before a holy God and you will give account; same for the Christian. But, the Christian is not doomed to Hell; only the lost.

I am not gonna justify your bullshit. If you need this new cult to justify your narcissistic personality disorder, fine by me. But dont play games with me. I know your type. Your the one who twists the bible and actual truth to suite your narcissism. Its people like you who bomb buildings, burn heretics, support unjust wars, and protest funerals all in the name of morality. So why dont you creeps get some morals before talking about morality. Your not even moral people, you are just ignorant sticklers who want to feel morally superior to others by following oppressive rules to make yourselves look like suffering servants. Its all just ignorant propaganda to justify your horridness

Lying to others is bad; to yourself - stupid. Low life filthy talking twit using a foul mouth in front of children........ abducting children to convert them to homosexual lovers is a sick perverted mind.
Sin is sin and is defined by God Almighty; now some filthy mouth gutter living sinner.
I doubt you will see much more of this side of life blaspheming a Holy God. I wouldn't give you 24 hrs left on this earth for my opinion. If you make it past that, it will be by God's graces.

WHAT YOU DESCRIBE LEROY is a general problem facing every one its really unfair just to hang it around one denominational neck . its natural to think we are worth saving but the other guy isnt when the truth is non of us were worth saving so God nmade us worth saving by shedding his own blood for us sinners the only righteous one died for us all the unrighteous.

Love the Lord, then do His commandments. Turn from your wicked ways and follow Jesus. Homosexuality is wicked and against God's Word. The sodomites are wicked; they are not God's children.

Sinners can come to God through Jesus. The false prophet (Catholic) has perverted the thinking of millions and attempted to change God's Word.

Much confusion has been introduced into the world whereby folks make-up their own belief system and rules to suit their human secular thinking.

If you loved God you would follow scriptures and follow Jesus. People wanting to continue in sin and reject God's Words are none of His.

Yes there are some selfrighteous people in the southern baptist church just like in the Presbyterian, Catholic,Pentecostal, andghe non-denominational denomination. I don't see how you can say all Southern Baptist are selfrighteous.
EVERY Southern Baptist I have EVER met, has been ignorant, bigoted, judgmental, self-righteous, EXTREMELY provincial, smug, and frankly, under-intelligent. EVERY single one of them.

I grew up in a Baptist school which claimed to be non-denominational, yet all the teachers and guest speakers were Baptists, I constantly heard how Catholics and Lutherans were all going to hell (no explanation was ever given, even when asked), and "real" Christians don't wear jeans or have long hair or tattoos.
