Ah yes, we should not be surprised that, while the Southern Baptist Convention is busy pretending to moderate their voice when it comes to LGBT Americans, they really aren't going to.

The title of this thread is pretty off, too. Obviously the SBC is not afraid to stand up for the Bible's repeated condemnations of all homosexual behavior.
Wow, hey, you don't play TROMBONE, do you? If you do, what happens if you put a big old fire cracker in it during the "1812 Overture" Just wonderin'!

What utter bigoted, prejudiced, anti-Christian baloney!
The Bible repeatedly condemns all homosexual behavior in both Testaments. That is an eternal fact.
No Christian church can ever 'affirm' or bless what God condemns.
Any Christian opposes sin, and homosexual behavior is indeed very serious sin according to the Bible, which is the very basis of Christianity.
The Bible repeatedly says all sorts of things that no one pays attention to. That's the problem with Christianity. Christians pick and choose from a myriad of rules and regulations depending on what suits them.

Where in the Ten Commandments does it say anything about not being homosexual? If homosexuality was such a sin, why did God forget to add to the list of REAL offenses - like killing and coveting someone's wife?

I was born a hetrosexual Christian. I have not been able to wrap my mind around that religion since I was about 10 years old; and especially now when so many so-called Christians have removed Jesus Christ from their Bible. They base their beliefs and actions now on the word of God, not on the word of God as spoken through his Son, Jesus Christ.

That's why we have two books of the Bible. The first being a God that was vengeful and mean and hateful and would strike down anyone who crossed Him. The second book shows a God much more loving and accepting, as shown through the words and actions of Christ.

I have no respect for the religion of Christianity. It has been one of THE most brutal and murderous religions in the history of mankind. It allows its followers and leaders to become manipulative, greedy and too powerful for their own good. Throughout history, and even today, it encourages people to believe they must kills anyone who is perceived as a threat. Hence, we attack not only homosexuals, blacks, and Muslims....but entire nations around the world in the name of our Christian God.

Were it not for our Christian ancestors who murdered millions of Muslims during the Crusades, we might not be considered the scurge of the world as far as the Middle East is concerned these days. Some people remember what was done to THEIR people. Others conveniently forget what THEIR people did to others.

Christ is not evil, but the people who have twisted His teachings always have been and still are.

the way you come into blog threads and act as ignorant and evil as YOU do.
So it's no secret why people can't stand you.
Are you finished, loon?

What in the world?
Most people who think that they are followers of Yeshua (Jeeezus), are actually followers of the teachings of Saul. This is so well understood by independent scholars that "christianity" is frequently referred to as "Saulianity".

Saul blatantly plagiarized Plato, the Stoic philosophers, and Philo of Alexandria, passing their teachings off as those of Yeshua.

Now if you are inclined to suggest that Plato, the Stoics and Philo were all prophets of the Father, then ....

I think it's just ignorance, and that is easily enough corrected.

Weebles told me that DAVID MOORE got in trouble for putting a huge fire cracker in a trombone at some public event Apparently some people got hurt in the fracas. It is just one of his many antics that have gotten him into trouble, now he makes up names day and night.

I always enjoy watching budding christian apologists trying to explain the inconsistencies and absurdities of their so-called "holy" book.
I especially relish their use of the phrase, "it is clear," as in, "It is clear that scripture condemns homosexual behavior as sin

A special note to LoL:
Despite your points about your grammar and spelling not being important, it would probably be helpful if you could actually use english properly in order to correctly convey what you are trying to say to other people. Most of your rambling, ill-punctuated posts are so jumbled and nonsensical, I can't tell what you are trying to say, and so, like others, I ignore them.
Our language is the means by which we communicate with others; if you cannot use it correctly at the most rudimentary levels, how do you expect to communicate your thoughts?

As an aside, the mormons have their angel, "Moroni," or as I like to say, "Moron-I".
Qwerty 2(two) 6(six)– he’s a riot
Almost seems smart – but don’t buy it
Not happy with Bibles or Christians, he snorts
and Angels and "m"ormons he blasts in retorts

He’ll pick on your spelling and then he will curse
Implying you’re stupid or something much worse
Proper nouns they escape him – can’t get them right
A beam or a mote – known as “holy” book blight

Accusing others of thoughts self inflicted
He’s not smart? Not quite – he's self addicted
He establishes fact with his words
Yet "it is clear," he's something to hide
Perhaps it’s found in what he'll abide

He stands up for the movement,
there’s no sin he exclaims
Certainly not, what put Sodom in flames
He’s liberally pointed perhaps he likes gophers
But “it is clear” above all
That he’s light in his loafers.
