Persian Scholar IBN KHURDADBA in his book KITÁBU-L MASÁLIK WA-L MAMÁLIK OF writes about 9th. Century Gujjars and others castes living in the country:
There are seven classes of Hindus, viz., 1st, Juzaria (Gurjjara), among whom are men of high caste, and from among whom kings are chosen. The people of the other six classes do the men of this class homage, and them only. 2nd, Brahma ( Brahman), who totally abstain from wine and fermented liquors. 3rd, Kataría ( Kastriya), who drink not more than three cups of wine; the daughters of the class of Brahma are not given in marriage to the sons of this class, but the Brahmas take their daughters. 4th, Súdariá( Shudra), who are by profession husbandmen. The 5th, Baisurá, are artificers and domestics. The 6th, Sandália , who perform menial offices. 7th, Lahúd;* their women are fond of adorning themselves, and the men are fond of amusements and games of skill.* In Hind there are forty-two religious sects;* part of them believe in a Creator and Prophet (the blessing of God be upon them!); part deny the mission of a Prophet, and part are atheists. |

The fact recorded by IBN KHURDADBA in his book KITÁBU-L MASÁLIK WA-L MAMÁLIK that Gurjjars were the highest class in India and all the kings are chosen from them and all others caste pay homage to them is also supported by the Nasal Index survey ( A course genetic analysis) done by the British Empire In India.
Here also the Gurjjars stands at the top. Here is the result of Nasal Index Survey. No. Tribe Nasal Index Nasal Type 1. Gurjar 66.9 Leptorrhine 2. Sikh 68.8 Leptorrhine 3. Gujjar and Jats are Pure Aryan races:
Many historians who distorted the history of India by giving wrong version that Gurjars ( and hence their ruling Clans like Pratihars, Parmars,Chauhans,Solankis,Chap s,Chandellas,TanwarsGuhilas etc.) were not a race but they were called Gurjars because they were from Gurjara Pradesh. The Gurjjar inscription of the first quarter of 4th. century clearly in my post #505 clearly state the Gurjjara was a Royal race. The same historians also argued about the Nasal index that Nasal Index can be altered and Gurjjars and Jats are of are not but Sythians. The anthropornetrical considerations supported by the Historical facts gives one solution only that they cannot but only be Aryans. This view is based chiefly on anthropornetrical considerations and it is also supported by history. It is indeed strange that even after the publication of Sir H. Risley's views based on anthropometric measurements taken at the Census of India in 1901 their origin should still be a matter of controversy. Those measurements clearly show that the noses of Girjjars and jats are distinctly fine and that their heads are long. It is sometimes argued by Sir H. Risley's opponents that noses might be made tine and heads may be lengthened by manupulation. But thi3 argument cuts off the very ground from under the feet of the science of Authropometry. If noses could be made fine very few people in India -would have had flat noses, for line noses are prized all over the country. It is because noses and heads cannot be manupulated and have an ineradicable tendensy to persist in difterent races, that antiiropometry has any value as a science. Wo will' therefore, detail the anthropometncal argument first and then see whether history supports or contradicts the inferences derivable from it. |

Cant u understand guys how easy it is to make Indians fight among themselves. Any foreigner will pretend himself to be Rajput and start abusing Gujars. Who knows that person is actually a Rajput or Jaat ? Anybody can write any name and make us fight among ourselve. Why dont we understand this? These foreigners are making us fight among themselves, and we fools are fighting among ourselves. Thats why we were ruled for 700 years by Mughals and 200 years by Britishers and we want to repeat same mistake again and again. For GODS sake, please stop fighting and start respecting each other. UNITED INDIA STANDS AND DIVIDED INDIA HAS ALWAYS FALLEN. so please if u really love this motherland please stop fighting. We all are children of same Mother India and that means we are all equal.

All,
I have provided several proof on Wikipedia that Patel was a kurmi and all Leva Patidar web sites very clearly mention that Leva Patidars are Kurmis. Do you have any proof other than K. L. Munshi's book about Patel being Gurjar by caste. Its wide accepted fact in UP, MP, Bihar, Maharsatra and Gujara that Patel was Kurmi by caste. |

Pl refer Maharastra OBC list. URL http://ncbc.nic.in/backward-classes/maharasht... . This show that Leva Patil and Leva Patidars are Kurmis not Gurjars.
