dont forget that muslims also have contributed to the guru granth sahib.

The reason why there is so much hate is becasue ignorent people who insult religion are causing so much trouble. We should not let those ignorent people win and stoop to thier level.

we know a lot about our holy book thank you very much. btw they didnt 'contribute', the gurus decided to use there poems because of the meaning of what they said, not who they were.

You need to stop speaking on behalf of everyone as you normally do. Some people may not know that muslims have contributed to the guru granth sahib.

These muslims words were inspired by the religion they followed, after all they followed islam and the quran.

so we all should have respect for each other as we do share alot in comman.

"You need to stop speaking on behalf of everyone as you normally do. Some people may not know that muslims have contributed to the guru granth sahib."

and you need to stop thinking others are so ignorant compared to your supposed intelligence. and no, muslims did not contribute to the sggs, stop spinning the facts.

"These muslims words were inspired by the religion they followed, after all they followed islam and the quran. "

and since when did you speak for these long dead poets? or are you being your self-righteous assumptive self again?

I think hari singh is the main kanjar hater on these forums. Its a shame that he is a Sikh; as he brings shame to the sikh religion.

'and you need to stop thinking others are so ignorant compared to your supposed intelligence. and no, muslims did not contribute to the sggs, stop spinning the facts.'

just by your comment about 'muslims did not contribute to the sggs' shows that there are people who dont know muslims contributed to the guru granth sahib, as you have shown that you didnt know that.

here are the contributions of muslims in the guru granth sahib,

bhagat/sheikh farid
http://www.sikhiwiki.org/index.php/Bhagat_Far...

bhagat kabir
http://www.sikhiwiki.org/index.php/Bhagat_Kab...

bhagat farid has 134 shabad in the guru granth sahib.
bhagat kabir has 292 shabad in the guru granth sahib.

and yet you once again bring it back to muslims, but the point is what they said not who they were. if those shabads were written by members of other religion aside from isalm, they still would have been included in the sggs. when they wrote those shabads, the authors werent doing it as muslims, they were doing it as learned thinkers.

Now that we have established that muslims did contribute to the guru granth sahib we can move on.

well im talking about muslims because you said no muslims contributed to the guru granth sahib so i showed you they have.

That actually made me laugh, they were muslims mate, you dont take breaks when your not a muslim then when the break is over you become a muslim again, thats not how it works. These bhagats believed in islam for a reason it made sense to them, otherwise why would they become muslim. I have seen and shown you how certain shabads showed how islam definatly had an influence on them, i mean why wouldnt it, they believed in islam, the quran and the prophet (pbuh).

i never said it did, just that their intelligence was their own, not out of the qu'ran. otherwise all muslims would be like them.

"These bhagats believed in islam for a reason it made sense to them, otherwise why would they become muslim."

Because sikhism wasnt around then?

" I have seen and shown you how certain shabads showed how islam definatly had an influence on them, i mean why wouldnt it, they believed in islam, the quran and the prophet (pbuh)."

they were enlightened by god, not by the qu'ran or by a prophet who was long dead

'i never said it did, just that their intelligence was their own, not out of the qu'ran. otherwise all muslims would be like them.'

if thier intelligene was thier own why the need for the quran, why the need to follow islam? they as any religous person find inspiration from thier religous texts. why would all muslims be like them? the guru's followed the guru granth sahib, but not all sikhs are like the guru's are they?

'Because sikhism wasnt around then?'

well they had an opertunity to convert but didnt, if they believed in the message of sikhism more then islam they would have become sikh.

'they were enlightened by god, not by the qu'ran or by a prophet who was long dead '

and they recieved thier inspiration from islam, they were muslims after all. being muslims they believed in the quran and the prophet (pbuh). Some of the shabads are very close to verses in the quran.

puurrleeeeze PL, those people were not Mulsims or Sunnis or Shi'a, they were Bhagts or Sufis. Nothing to do with Islam whatsoever. Kabir was not a Musalman he was against The Sunnah, Halal and against Islam, he was born of Hindus like his protege Nanerk and his Teacher was Ramanand so how could he be Musalman ?
they believed in the quran and the prophet (pbuh). You may not agree with them but they still believed in the quran and the prophet (pbuh). suni's and shia's also have slightly diferent beliefs but they still are muslims as they believe in the quran and the prophet (pbuh).

(btw, please keep this respectful here, you dont want your religion insulted do you, so please dont throw insults at others religion)

they were born into isalm, they couldnt help what they ended up having to learn as kids. and you said the qu'ran is responsible for the scholars being so intelligent, therefore all muslims who learn from the qu'ran should be as inteligent shouldnt they? or did they interpret it in different ways?

"well they had an opertunity to convert but didnt, if they believed in the message of sikhism more then islam they would have become sikh."

well we dont know as the history of some of them is unclear.

"and they recieved thier inspiration from islam, they were muslims after all. being muslims they believed in the quran and the prophet (pbuh). Some of the shabads are very close to verses in the quran."

we wont know where there inspiration comes from apart from the fact that it originated with waheguru. so why were they just repeating what was said in their holy book?

'they were born into isalm, they couldnt help what they ended up having to learn as kids.'

they couldnt help being born in a muslim family just as you couldnt help being born in a sikh family. so no doubt just like you are influenced by sikhsim they were influenced by islam.

'and you said the qu'ran is responsible for the scholars being so intelligent, therefore all muslims who learn from the qu'ran should be as inteligent shouldnt they? or did they interpret it in different ways?'

how can they when we are all individuals, some sikhs who read the guru granth sahib are very religious while some commit crimes, this happens in all communities. the bhagats were saints, so they would not commit crimes and have bad behaviour hence they read the quran and were very religious.

'well we dont know as the history of some of them is unclear.'

the history is quite clear, there were muslims and hindu's who converted to sikhism but no were was it mentioned that these bhagats converted, and sikhs dont even believe they converted to sikhism .

'we wont know where there inspiration comes from apart from the fact that it originated with waheguru. so why were they just repeating what was said in their holy book?'

people always repeat what in thier holy book, go to the gurdwara on sunday and im sure you will see a granthi repeating or reciting the words of the guru granth sahib. People are inspired by thier holy text, even muslims today write poems which are inspired from the quran.
