The Seventh-day Adventist Church is having people imprisoned for of the name of their religion. Two members of the Creation Seventh Day Adventist Church were jailed for several weeks in July. They believe their Church’s name was inspired by God; thus, they cannot alter it despite being sued for trademark infringement. All indications are that they will be returning to jail soon unless the lawsuit is dropped.

Please sign this petition of protest. Everyone, whether religious or not, should be free to practice (or not practice) their beliefs without fear of punishment. Tell the Seventh-day Adventist Church that you support Free Exercise, and the Separation of Church and State, and that putting people in jail for the name of their church is not improving their reputation with you or anyone else.

Wait a minute. You guys did change your name. It was once "The Creation Seventh Day Adventist Church." Now it's "The Creation Seventh Day (and) Adventist Church."

This has nothing to do with the Separation of Church and State, nor 'Free Exercise' since that right does NOT mean a group which is not part of the official SDA church can use the SDA's trademarks. Trademarks are property and to use them without permission is against the law

There was a guy named Fred Koch who had his name legally changed to 'Coke Is It' saying he was tired of people mispronouncing his name as 'cotch' when it's pronouned like 'coke'.
Coca-Cola Inc. which had used 'Coke Is It' as their trademarked phrase sued him and won, and he was stripped of that name.

I signed the petition with the following remark:

I know from first-hand experience that the Corporation of Seventh-day Adventists is a hierarchy of dershbags. Their persecution of a lunatic church of 3 persons that insist on calling themselves Seventh-day Adventists proves it yet again.

-they inspired themselves, and the church doesn't need such fruitcakes WRONGFULLY USING IT'S NAME

The Branch Davidians were an offshoot of the Adventist church and rather whaked but at least they didn't use the SDA trademarks

and John 16:2 does not at all apply dummy
Trademark infringement is against the law- it's misrepresentation and a form of STEALING

God wants to see spiritual fruit not religious nuts!

Even fruitcakes should have religious rights. For example, if a man chooses to wear a dress and a papal tiara and goes around blessing pedophiles, then why should he be stopped?

as long as he doesn't violate any trademarked name etc. while doing so
if he does he deserves to be sued

WHAT DAMN LAW are you talking about? God's LAW is what Christians should use concerning spiritual matters and NOT WHITE HOUSE LAW or EGW GC LAW!

WE ARE OUT to get as many SDA's out from you lying stinking ship as possible! WE are at WAR with ALL you guys who SUPPORT EGW and the SDA GC and their rules!! We will expose you and crush you!

Now, ask me who is WE?

Your group is absolutely shameless in the number of lies they've created. http://everythingimportant.org/Walter_McGill/

In my opinion, you have no right to believe that you are free to commit fraud with impunity. Your faith directly contradicts the first angel's message. http://everythingimportant.org/

Incidentally, thank you for that Hoax webpage, Eugene. I am informed that while Pr. McGill was being processed for confinement, the guard doing so searched the internet and found your website. He was positively impressed towards Pr. McGill as a result.

Another individual recently came to the same conclusion after noting that one of the top pages (yours) was a "blatant smear attack." Truly "we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth."

For those who support religious liberty - even for those they disagree with - signing and passing the petition to others will be greatly appreciated.

Oh, and one more thing... anyone who wants a legitimate answer to any of the common questions raised, including that of "fraud," is wholly encouraged to take a look at the FAQ on our forum, available here: http://csda-adventistchurch.to/forum/viewtopi...
