Actually all faiths have roots to the universal Catholic church and any others are pop up protestants of varying flavours. The Catholic church has changed the day because all are no longer required to observe the Sabbath and now Sunday is the Lords day of worship, but it is not a sin to work. This is freedom from slavery.<quoted text>Well all that came out of Christ and the Apostles were Sabbath Keeping, but thats why the Roman Catholic church persecuted and destroyed those who would not follow Sunday as the day of worship.
We are actually told very clearly in the NT that we are not to judge over the Sabbbath in Col 2:14-16. We are further instructed that we should enter into the Sabbath rest with Jesus in Hebrews ch4.
**"Having cancelled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us and which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him. Therefore let no one act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a SABBATH day- things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ." (Col 2:14-16)
**This is what Rudi and Sabbos suggest does not mean exactly what it says. They twist and invent this fabricated criterion of a ceremonial law. It is a nonsense. There is no such distinction of the law and Sabbos cannot scripturally support this fabrication.
"So the Lord commanded us to observe ALL these STATUTES, to fear the Lord our God for our good always and for our survival, as it is today. "It will be righteousness for us if we are careful to observe ALL THIS COMMANMENT before the Lord our God, just as He commanded us." (Deuteronomy 6:24-25)
Deuteronomy chapters 5-6 proves interchangeability of terms and disproves any distinction between the 10 commandments and what Sabbatarians falsely call the ceremonial law. We have all seen how the OT uses terms like commandments, statutes, ordinances interchangeably.
Interchangeability of terms in Nehemiah 8:1-18 also proves there is no distinction found in the Old Testament laws of God and Moses! Nehemiah 8 uses interchangeably without distinction in the following terms: "the book of the law of Moses", "the law", "the book of the law", "the law of God", "book of the law of God".
We are further told in Ephesians 2:15 that the LAW with its COMMANDS and regulations were set aside
Ephesians 2:15 by setting aside in his flesh the law with its COMMANDS and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace.
When we are told to not judge over Sabbaths it means the Sabbath day rest and all Sabbath keeping as Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath now. Most of Christendom have got this right and it explains why Jesus never bothered to mention the Sabbath day rest. A Sabbath rest is only spoken of in Hebrews ch4 as being required to 'enter' into the Sabbath rest, not 'keep' it. Hosea also prophesied the stopping of the Sabbath.
The debt and law that was nailed to the cross and fulfilled was the entire 'law', including all Sabbath keeping and the 10 commandments.
Jesus actually rolled the 9 commandments over from that which we should not do and showed us how these are shadows that now inform what we should do, love God and our neighbour, and replaced the Sabbath with Himself. In this way the 10 commandments are set aside yet continue to have meaning and be enforced in the New Covenenant with Jesus. Sabbatarians refuse to get it because then they can't sprooke their doomsay.
Sabbatarians have fabricated thier ceremonial law distinction.
